Hotel Amsterdam was a quiet and clean place to stay with dining right on the premises. Walkable from the train station and central to most activities. I would stay here again.

The property was very quite, very close (walking distance) to Amsterdam tourist sites. Easy access to dining with a restaurant on-site and the surrounding area, delicious breakfast on-site and access to shoppping.

Very central to everything, within walking distance and a tram right outside. Hotel staff were lovely room was huge (went for the superior) very clean, nice bathroom slightly dated rooms, some usb sockets didn’t work but that’s not the be all and end all. Loved you had a secure locker for your bags if you got there too early or had a late flight but wanted to go off and enjoy the area

It's in Damrak, a rough neighborhood. Lots of historical buildings around but crowded and dirty. We will not stay in this area again the hotel itself was more modern, clean, and welcoming. Good restaurant, nice rooms but strange bath setup. A separate toilet room, the shower spills out to the bath floor, no curtains. The bathtub was nice. We did take advantage of it.

Great hotel, but description of rooms misleading

The hotel and room was lovely, modern “, spacious and clean. The staff were helpful and the location was perfect. We had a superior room with “city view”. To call a view of another building, and rooftops with scaffolding a city view is wrong, so I would suggest the description of some rooms are amended. The photographs of said rooms are misleading as it made me think that I would be at the front of the hotel, with a balcony. We were actually at the side of the hotel, with no balcony. We weren’t at the hotel much, so it didn’t spoil it, but I did feel slightly disappointed as I was excited for a nice view. When I called reception, the lady apologised and said there was nothing she could do as the other rooms were fully booked.

Amazing location. Sheets were not clean when we first checked in but staff was quick to replace all the linen. We were given two twin beds that were pushed together, however they came apart very easily when you accidentally turned into the gap. Staff said they would place a pad on top but that didn’t end up happening. Working AC. Construction is still ongoing but did not bother us. Staff was very approachable. Overall was still a good stay. The location made up for all the inconveniences.

Great hotel in a convenient location. 10 mins walk from central station. Comfy bed, great shower and air con on hotest couple of days a year. Great buffet breakfast and friendly staff. Only downside building work inside hotel and the workmen started before 7am, talking loudly and banging and drilling....could have waited till 8am....but thats only downside.

We took this hotel mostly for convenience and good price. But with that comes some sacrifice like a very tiny bathroom and noise from workers and the street. But the location is great for walking from the train station and very accessible to many bars and restaurants. The breakfast was good and the restaurant was very comfortable where they served the breakfast. The staff was pleasant and friendly. The hotel needs a facelift but the prices reflect some of the comments I’ve made.

The room was spacious and very clean—perfect for a solo traveler. The hotel is centrally located, right in the heart of the tourist area, which is convenient if you want to be close to the action (though it may not suit those seeking a quieter atmosphere). Unfortunately, my stay was quite noisy. Construction outside the window began as early as 7 AM, and the walls seemed quite thin—you could hear neighboring doors opening and closing, phone alarms from adjacent rooms, and other sounds throughout the night.

This place is very clean. My bed sheet was always changed everyday. Area is close to the Central Station which makes it easy to travel around amsterdam and outside of amsterdam.

Hotel mornings was the worst!!!

The hotel itself was very nice, and the staff were helpful throughout our stay. However, I’m giving a lower rating because our experience was significantly impacted by early morning construction noise. Out of the three days we stayed, two were disrupted by loud construction starting as early as 7:00 AM. I raised the issue with the manager, but was told there was nothing they could do. Even starting at 10:00 AM would have allowed us a few extra hours of much-needed rest. This trip was meant to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and unfortunately, being woken up so early each morning really took away from the experience. To make matters worse, we had traveled from New York and were already dealing with a six-hour time difference. It just wasn’t the relaxing getaway we had hoped for.

Hotel is under remodel process and didn’t advise in advance. They’re having trouble with air condition and when we ask for help the person on the counter says I’m sorry, but we’re having trouble with air conditioning in the hotel, so temperature is hot. Location is good

I was paying good money for the smallest room I've ever seen in my entire travel history - NOT a single desk, so I had to work with my laptop on a pillow in bed, the bed was not only too small but uncomfortable, there was only 1plug in the whole room, but thanks to myself I had an extension with me. I must say it was the worst hotel I ever stayed in, never ever again. I would never recommend this fxxking hotel to anyone and I meant it!!!
