This hotel benefits from a great location and a pleasant neighborhood, and the lounge area is genuinely inviting. However, the rooms themselves could use significant improvement. They are quite small and feel outdated, with a very compact bathroom and an overly soft, uncomfortable bed. The lighting is dim to the point that it's difficult to see clearly inside the room. Additionally, the lift is extremely small-just enough space for one person and a bag. With some thoughtful updates, this property has the potential to be much more comfortable.

Outstanding customer service, beautiful clean room with everything you might need, vibrant style and appearance, close and efficient transport system, hotel staff went extra mile to dress the room for my partners birthday. Had the best holiday. Would love to stay here again.

While the location and was good, the “upgrade” room was overall a bit dingy-and, quite frankly-the two twin beds that were pushed together to make a double was completely unsleepable. Add in that I could not get housekeeping to service room for over two days and it just wasn’t worth it. Too many other options out there.

Was a bit concerned about staying in the basement rooms here after reading other reviews but really enjoyed my time at the hotel Staff were super friendly Yes, the basement rooms are small-ish but you can see that from the pics when you book. If you’re doing a long weekend stay eg. Friday-Monday you’ll be fine Room was clean, cozy, comfy and had a great shower Only minor complaint was we never had house keeping as the cleaners kept coming to our room around 4pm when we were getting ready and I’d usually expect house keeping to happen in the morning. Would 100% recommend and stay again :)

This is an older, very basic hotel, but in expensive Amsterdam, a reasonable price for what it is. The room was clean and adequate and the staff were responsive to deal with issues such as the bathroom sink draining sluggishly and problems with the room safe. Good location for restaurants, shopping, near museum quarter, with a trolley line right in front.

Hotel was ideally located close to tram and tube. It is walkable to Dam Square. Rooms are basic but have everything you need. All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok.

The hotel is in a great location close to the trams. Rooms are clean but very small. There is a self service breakfast for an additional fee of 17 Euros. Lots of pastries, fruit, meat, cheeses, and scrambled eggs. Chef who served breakfast was not friendly, maybe because the hotel seems short staffed. One day I arrived one hour before breakfast ends, they were out of scrambled eggs and was told he wouldn’t make any more. Overall ok.

Tram stops nearby for easy transportation and just far enough out of the city center to be quiet but not too far away if you would enjoy walking there along the canals!
