We loved everything with this property. The location was perfect - 20 - 30 min walk to the centre, some bars and restaurant near by, close to Vondelpark, quiet enough to sleep with open window. The staff was so helpful and friendly and nothing was a trouble. The breakfast was perfect with fresh fruitsalad and various pastries and breads etc. The lobby has a warm welcoming vibe with "open fire" feature. If one had to be picky then one could say the room is on the smaller side, but it didn't bother us.

Lovely hotel in a great location!

Modern but cosy, the V Hotel was perfect for our 3 night getaway in Amsterdam. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and rooms were small but perfectly formed. The main appeal was the location, perfect for exploring the city either by tram or on foot. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Lovely cosy hotel

We loved our 4days at the hotel. We had a basement room that was small but cosy. Tastefully decorated and plenty for our needs. Lush shower and comfy bed. Staff polite and curteous. Would stay again without hesitation. Highly recommended.

Birthday trip

Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, stairs to the room were a bit steep but the room was lovely. Bathroom was small but perfectly formed and right round the corner from a tram stop. Couldn't ask for anymore!

Short Amsterdam Break

The Hotel was very nice and the staff very friendly, but the basement room was so small, you take two steps from the door and you were at the bed with no space around it, the bed was so knackered that every time i turn'd over the noise from the creaking woke me most of the time. Definitely not worth the money. I would recommend you don't book a basement room and get a normal size room

Brilliant birthday trip

Great hotel - lovely staff and lovely room- we stayed in the basement room 001 - cute and cosy - also nice and warm. No problems at all :) perfect for a weekend for people who don't spend to much time in the room. Bathroom was lovely and modern with a good strong shower . Cost for a night was £39 - bargain for Amsterdam ! Overall great thank you !

Nice Place, Misleading Advertising

The place is general really good, though it a shame they advertise a small room as Souterrain which after you book you discover means basement room. They should use commo words that are used not make up their own ones to disguise negative traits. Its a shame, if they wouldn't have done this it would have been a better review.

Fantastic staff, would recommend!

We chose V Frederiksplein because of the great reviews and it lived up to the lovely reviews. Great breakfast, perfect location for the museums and stylish surroundings. The room was a little small, but that was made up for by the helpful, kind and genuine attitude of every member of staff we met during our stay. We'd definitely come back!

overrated - deceiving description

The basement rooms were awful. Dark, tiny, claustrophobic, no room to move, no room to go around the bed, no table, tiny tv, no cupboard, no lift to basement. Well below what one might expect from a 3 star hotel. We will not go back and we couldn't recommend it to anyone. A huge disappointment when compared to the photographs publicised in the website. The most decent thing was the cosy lobby.
