The front desk staff were really friendly and accommodating. Our room was the quietest room I’ve ever stayed in. It’s equidistant to the Anne Frank house, museums and train station. Felt very safe in the neighborhood.

The room had mold in the bathroom all along the walls. Smelled of mildew and I am almost certain the floors are not cleaned. The only upside was the location.

The hotel was really nice. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. We did however find that the hotel room had insufficient ventilation. When we checked in to the room everything had a slightly damp feel to it, including the mattress. After staying for 3 nights we found all clothes in the room to be damp and a book which we had brought with us had started to warp. We left a key card in the room to try and leave the air con on since windows can't be opened, to try to allow some of the damp to leave the room, only to find when we got back that the key had been taken by the cleaners. If it wasn't for this one issue it would have been a 5/5, but really can't recommend under this circumstance.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean but in need of a little attention. The room was small but adequate and clean. It is located in a good area with restaurants nearby and everything you want to see is walkable.

The staff at Melrose hotel were wonderful! Very attention to detail oriented, I was very happy with their help along the way. Outside of the loose toilet seat and some stained towels that were quickly replaced. It was a fine experience staying there. The room is small so be prepared if you’re sharing a twin with two beds. But it’s definitely doable very cozy so make sure you like your travel partner. Would definitely stay again if I visit Amsterdam again.

Hotel Melrose is in a great location to look around as a tourist. It’s right in the middle of the Jordaan area and in the canals. Super close to viral food spots like Maijard Smashburger, Chun, Polaberry and a short walk into the centre and different areas. Hotel itself is good, really friendly staff. It needs to be clarified by Expedia that there is tourist tax to pay and it is not included in the price you are paying. Also there are no windows in the rooms. Only a ventilation system so the rooms are quite stuffy and you can’t get any fresh air. As a person who doesn’t like AC, this was a bit annoying. But other than that, the stay was good.

Good central location walking distance to many attractions. Exterior of hotel should be maintained more regularly as there was a pile of garbage in front when we arrived. Bathroom did not offer much in terms of privacy with frosted glass walls that could be seen through - this could be an issue for some. Room was clean and hotel staff helpful and friendly. Great option to check bags before checking in and once checked out.
