Paid for a double room and ended up with 2 single beds pushed together which kept splitting apart during the night.

The hotel is very good , clean and tidy. The reception, lobby and bar area is very nice. The only thing lacking is a restaurant in the hotel. You have a lobby menu which is limited and a bar menu which is more Tapas. So from a food perspective it is a little bit below average.

Lovely hotel and location

Pros: Location, cleanliness, facilities, breakfast
Cons: The service in the restaurant at breakfast was a little hit and miss at times, causing confusion as to where you get your tea/coffee from
Location: Easy access to trams, tour boats and hop on/off buses and boats. Five to ten minute walk to most central attractions.
The hotel is situated about 500M from Amsterdam Central station and is in a perfect location for either walking around the city or catching boats, buses and trams from the station area.

thoughts by a returning customer

I can understand in the rooms but a 5 star place needs at least a basic smoking area. Let's not forget it's still Amstedam and having to walk all across the hotel and get lifts just for a smoke is a joy killer that may chnge my mind next time.

Der Eingang ist grosszügig gestaltet und sehr ansprechend. Die Angestellten sind alle sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer ist schön, gute Grösse, das Bad tip-top. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Zudem ist die Lage-Nähe zum Hauptbahnhof-ideal.
