This is not a hotel, it’s a hostel. The stairs are dangerously steep and the rooms are poorly maintained. Dirty bedding, broken blinds, no curtains, dirty carpets. But to add insult to injury, no coffee in rooms. For £200 I expect coffee but, no worries, I’ll wait for breakfast -not! Breakfast is served at a different location ten minutes walk away. The only positive was the chap who checked us in at 2am. Tried his best even though he had never been to this location before!

the only good thing about the hotel is the location. When we arrived the english woman (receptionist) rarely looked at us. she was rude and really annoyed from the customers. the sheets were wet when we arrived (probably because they left the window open for hours before we arrived). The stairs are deffo nothing for elderly people or kids. no elevator. there was always noise from the inside and outside. we wouldn‘t recommend it.

I had a problem with my preservation as I booked a room with a private room but when I checked in they gave me a room with shared facilities and the bathroom was on different floor. I had to pay €20 extra get a private bathroom inside the room. Apart from this problem, the upgraded room was nice and the bathroom was good with nice shower. The location was great in the hearty of Amsterdam with tram stop at the corner. Many restaurants, shops pubs and attractions are around. Safe area and walkable.

Poor air circulation in the rooms, broken lights and very tight rooms. The walls and doors had no soundproofing at all, so basically you felt like being part of the discussion in the other rooms. And the stairs of to the second floor are rough, it was more like a ladder and dangerous moving with suitcases. I’ve been in several old hotels in Amsterdam, but this was definitely the worst experience.

Kleine, sehr saubere Unterkunft mit allen was mab braucht. Aussicht auf ruhigen Hinterhof. Die Lage war super. Alles gut zu Fuss erreichbar.
