The location is why I would stay here again. It was perfectly centered in the city but for those traveling with family, be mindful that you are only a block away from the red light distract at night. The staff was incredibly friendly and gave us great recommendations. The rooms were clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. There were black out curtains as well. We were disappointed that there was not air conditioning in our room however reviewing the listing again, we realize this was not included. In our country, air conditioning is prevalent in all hotels so we were surprised provided a small fan to keep us cool despite it being 80+ degrees outside. Again, they did not advertise that they had AC but this is something to keep in mind. We also were surprised at how old the interior of the hotel was. Since the rooms were clean, this was not an issue but it seemed that there have not been renovations. Overall, it was well priced in a great location but I would likely flex to stay somewhere quieter and/or newer on my next trip to Amsterdam

The location is great, right at Dam square. The room is small but okay for 2 people. Clean and comfy. Our room was on the 3rd floor and there was an elevator but we also had to go up a flight of stairs after coming off the elevator. We would stay here again but would request a room with no stair access especially since we had a heavy bag. Our room had a big window but no view as it slanted upwards. There is a large reception area with comfy couches and chairs and they will store your baggage if you arrive early. Uber will drop you off at the hotel but the pickup point is about 10 minutes walk away. Which is not good with heavy baggage. We took the taxi the hotel provided for €70 to Schiphol airport. About double the Uber cost. Overall, you cant beat the great location and cost.

If you don’t read any other reviews read this. BELIEVE it when they say this hotel is loud. You can hear everything as if you are sleeping outside. This is located next to a bar so the noise will go on until the late hours of the night. Also this hotel does not have AC making it difficult to sleep. Great location right next to Dam Square but would not stay here again due to the heat and noise making it extremely frustrating when trying to sleep.

The AC worked perfectly but was a challenge to operate! The shower and the bathroom floor level were exactly the same so water flowed into the bathroom for several inches no matter how careful we were when taking showers. Room seemed to have a stale odor. Otherwise the room was functional. We loved the location of the hotel!

The hotel's location was great, but the hotel is outdated. All of the furniture in the lobby was dirty, the hotel didn't offer water, it was extremely noisy. And the toilet ran the entire time we were there

The hotel was well run and the staff were always helpful. The location was a 10 minute walk from the train station and along the laneways of shops, restaurants and cafes, full of life. My room was clean, the housekeeping efficient and i was able to recover from jeflag well since the room was quiet throughout the day. Wonderful!
