The bathroom (including the toilet) is see-through. Even if you love your spouse, don't you want privacy in the loo? We were on the second floor and it was noisy from the party-goers. Service when checking-in and out was sub-par.

The hotel itself is a gem in downtown Bakersfield with nice rooms and just a nice hotel overall. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and addressed everything I needed while I was there, shoutout to Gia for helping me get checked in and for helping me get a room that was more distant from the nearby noisy nightclub and for getting me a toothbrush when I needed one.

Clean, spacious, great bed, amazing staff... but don't get a room facing H street during the weekends because the outdoor dance club across the street goes until 2am and it's impossible to sleep. I would not repeat.

Restaurant not opening up in the morning was disappointing. Even more so at night after our dinner was looking forward to a cup of coffee to have with a dessert and there was no coffee at all they said. Never ate again there.
