Room was clean, the view from the balcony was amazing, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Only small downside was the noise of the restaurant right above, but that was to be expected and wasn’t too bad. Overall, a wonderful experience!

The location is excellent, but unfortunately the service fell short. The staff seemed overwhelmed. When we arrived, no one was present at the valet stand, so we had no idea what to do with all our luggage. The front desk staff didn’t seem concerned, and when I asked how the valet worked, the woman there simply said I could leave the car key. They also advised reaching out 15 minutes before departure and provided a text message number for any questions. So I requested the car through text message, but there were no replies. No one answered the in-room phone, and even after calling from my cell phone for 20 minutes, no one picked up. I ultimately had to go to the front desk myself. After trying for over 30 minutes, I finally received my car. Heaven and Megan were wonderful, but the other staff member I encountered was very unfriendly. I booked a Grand Room, Sea View (King) because it was supposed to be more spacious than the balcony sea-view option. However, the room was on the 1st floor, and the street noise was extremely disruptive—especially the garbage truck, which was out front for nearly two hours on both Saturday and Sunday starting at 6 a.m. I truly hope they improve the overall service, as the property itself is so lovely.

Great location, and clean, renovated rooms. Loved the roof top restaurant and bar. Staff was helpful. Had no problem with street parking (over holiday weekend). Downsides (pretty minor): Echo other comments about noise and recommend getting room away from the restaurant (although there will still be street noise). Also, the hotel is small and thus short staffed. Check-in took a long time, and some days our rooms simply weren't cleaned (despite a promise of daily service). Requests for things like a new pillow simply went unfulfilled, despite several attempts. Overall good experience. Would recommend.

I choose this Hotel for location, it was perfect, we valeted the car for convenience, I had read parking was a problem. This solved it for an extra $35. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Only thing missing is a suitcase rack. This is a must have in a hotel w any size room. Please provide this. I would love to come back! I live in Maui, but I love San Diego and La Jolla. The girls at the desk, could Not be sweeter! Good job on the hiring! Good employee’s are hard to find!! Everyone seems happy working there! That’s a plus!!

Yes but we were charged more than the final quote on Travelocity and when I asked for them to correct my bill she said it was correct what was quoted on Travelocity has incorrect taxes. Also we were one flight up from the lobby and they do not have an elevator? The staff immediately asked to help us with our bags when they saw we are in our late 70s.

The noise from the restaurant at the top of this hotel is terrible! From 6:00am through the day they drag tables or something and the noise is awful. We were so disappointed when the front desk told us there was new management and they've had lots of complaints but nothing has improved.

I don't normally give out "Excellent" ratings, but Cormorant Boutique Hotel is well deserved. Let's start with the staff- welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The room was perfect - spacious and clean, with a nice little balcony to take in the ocean view. Finally, the rooftop restaurant/bar was a welcome after a long day at the track. Good food and service.
