Worsening value and customer service

This place has sadly declined in value and customer service over the last year. Breakfast is no longer free and they won't let you check in early without a steep fee. Our flight landed in LA at 6 AM, so even being able to check in a few hours early would have been greatly appreciated, but they would not accommodate us at all. We used to go out of our way to stay here during long layovers because of the excellent customer service but our loyalty was not rewarded and I think we will try our luck with other hotels in the area.
