Short Stories is just a revamped Motel, with cute rooms. I'm not very happy about my stay here having to listen continuously to the people above me, loud plumbing from neighbors, and valet parking cars right outside my door. None of this is fixable by the hotel staff because it's a 60s motel trying to be something it is not. There's no privacy. If I knew I was going to be staying in a revamped motor lodge, where you can hear everything and everybody can hear you, I would have stayed somewhere else, and I recommend you do, especially for the price. If you don't care about noise, the rooms, bed, and amenities are on par. Again, this is a MOTOR LODGE, not a HOTEL.

Definitely the clubhouse leader for my next stay in Los Angeles. Phenomenal location for anything in the city of Los Angeles and areas to the north and west. Many top sites are walkable. And, the hotel's pretty darn nice, too. Rooms are spacious and comfy. Staff friendly and professional.

Nice accommodation, well located. Parking at a cost but convenient. Restaurant looked nice but was either closed or booked for a private event when we were there so couldn’t try it. The Grove and market across the road have plenty of good food options.

Cute boutique hotel that's walkable to The Grove and Farmer's Market. There's water and coffee station in the lobby and the patio is cozy. Staffs are very nice specially the receptionists and the valet. Well maintained property. Highly recommended!

It’s a sweet little hotel and a great spot for shopping. It’s walkable too many great restaurants, etc. I was charged for something at the minibar, but I never touched the minibar. Luckily, they reverse the charge, but I had to argue it for a while. Also, I had a do not disturb on the door and asked the cleaners not to come in until I left, but they kept trying to push their way in and woke me up. Hopefully, next time that won’t happen.
