So there was a bathroom leak apparently our water was draining into the office and smelt like sewage in the office for bit. There was a a sink and dishes, the dishes they were dirty there was no soap to wash them. The was a small coffee pot but no filters. I bought some and left some . Most of the staff was nice and friendly. But there was a lady who was rude and un helpful. **Note you have to pay for parking in the lot of the hotel!! I was not notified and it kinda sucked The family room was big! We had 7 comfortably. The shower however was extremely small, there was only a cloth shower curtain and it stuck to you as you tried to shower.

Staff is lovely, Location is ideal for my stay (Halloween weekend) which is why i chose the Dixie but will most likely never stay here again. Everything felt dirty, sticky & outdated. The room smelled like a thrift store and right as i was leaving to checkout saw a HUUUGE roach crawling on the counter. Beds were comfy though so if you have low standards and just need a bed and hot water to shower it’ll do the job 😅

My daughter and I stayed here for a mother daughter weekend trip to see Erykah Badu. We both loved the staff and hotel. I absolutely love the story behind the hotel in memory of their sister. The doors are beautiful and I’m assuming some of their late sister’s favorite things. We stayed in the Super Mario room. A nice surprise as my husband’s name is Mario. We will definitely be back to stay in the Hello Kitty Room. Thank you for a memorable weekend.
