Front desk help was amazing. Provided great information and was very friendly. The bartender not so much. We had to wait quite a while for him to wait on us. He wasn’t very friendly actually seemed kind of annoyed. He spilled my glass of champagne and if it wasn’t for another customer saying that he spilled it, I think he would’ve blamed me. The room was fine but since it seemed to be geared towards a couples fun night it was awkward for my daughter and I. The shower was exposed to the room. Zero privacy. Breakfast was good. I don’t think it was worth the price since we had stayed in Madrid at another hotel a few blocks closer to Plaza Sol and it was much less and just as nice.

Very good stay. I booked a basic room that came with one bed and I asked if I could have two beds and they were very nice and accommodating. The mattresses were a bit hard but overall a great stay!

Everybody charming at front desk. Nice place, well located. Roof terrasse/bar/pool that must be awesome during the warm season (it was too cold during our visit). Our room was decorated very stylishly, well equipped, fairly quiet, rather small however. We would return, even though we were a hetero couple in a place considering itself a gay hotel, we felt very welcomed.

What an amazing hotel ! Right in the centre of everything and close to the main Art Galleries. Friendly staff, shout out to Daniel who was very helpful on reception. Well designed room with amazing lighting. Superb roof top bar and pool with great views over Madrid. I was a solo female traveller and made to feel very welcome. Thank you.

The staff at Axel are wonderful and welcoming, they explain everything clearly and make sure you have everything you need for your trip. I went during a quiet period for the city so had no issues with any noise, and my room was peaceful, spacious, clean, and everything finished to a high standard. The decor is modern and chic, and all the amenties you need are provided. Would definitely stay here again!
