Hotel Mediodia is conveniently located. Atocha station is right across it and Reina Sofia Museum is right behind it. A short walk to the Prado and to the Retiro. A short cab ride to airport and other train station. But a bit expensive, even after the renovations, rooms are only so so.

Rooms are not large, but enough for a short stay. Service is polite and responsive. Location is great. No ramps for rolling your bag, which I found weird. They’re renovating, so I guess they’ll take care of it.

Great location

The front desk has a very poor customer service. Like they do not know what they are doing upon our check in. They seem very unprofessional. There is only one person that I can give a 5 star for customer service, Julio. He was assisting but not a front desk employee. But he was very helpful, kind and polite. Julio deserves a promotion to do the front desk job. The hotel room is very comfortable with good AC, great location for museums, parks, train station and shops. The front desk people needs a customer service training.

This is a very beautifully renovated old hotel. The rooms are clean, quiet, large, with excellent air conditioning. The area is excellent for walking around seeing many sites and eating at restaurants and bakeries. The train station is across the street for convenience.

Overall a good place to stay when traveling. The staff were very friendly and spoke good english. The room was adequate, but musty when we walked in. The air conditioning was very cold once turned on.

Soap dispensers empty

The hand soap dispenser was always empty. And the shower soap dispenser became empty the next day, even though we did not use much at all. Apparently they do not refill the soap dispensers or check them regularly.
