Hotel was nice and clean. It is an older hotel and there was definitely some wear and tear. The shower and toilet area could use an update and maybe a little extra cleaning. The pool area was nice. The hot tub heat weren’t working at the time but the water was still very warm and was relaxing. Overall a very nice stay.

We had a suite with a fireplace. It was tidy and very clean. Decor was tastefully done. Landscaping was beautiful. Pool was cool but not cold. The hot tub was hot but needed jets to be repaired. We enjoyed our trip immensely. Enjoyed Monterey beach & pier only 9 minutes away. I will definitely book again. Continental breakfast was standard. Breakfast area was pleasant.

The room was dirty, the shower stopped working, which is a basic amenity, stains on the couch, stains on the chair chairs, the bathroom bent didn’t work so all of them smell stayed inside the small room, the balcony was connected to our neighbors, and everyone else was able to take the stairs straight into your balcony, which didn’t feel safe. The room was outdated and there was a rust in the bathroom on the mirrors and showerhead. Really poor and a lot worse than expectations.

Room was clean and spacious, walls were thin, you could hear everything. Breakfast was more like grab and go snacks. Not hot food, we normally like to book hotels with breakfast included so it’s one less meal to worry about but it wasn’t what we expected. We were there for the aquarium so we liked the proximity of the hotel.

We've loved staying here for years. This visit, we noticed that some things around our room could use some special attention: there was mold in the caulking around the in room spa tub and in the shower, the beds were really worn down- out backs were really stiff and sore. Love the size of our suite and with a few cleaning issues resolved and newer beds we would gladly stay here again and again.

It’s small, but pet friendly and charming. This is located right across the street from a shopping center: Whole Foods, CPK, Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Kona Steakhouse etc. It has a small outdoor pet relief area with grass. It’s simple and quaint.

The staff at check in was not friendly. Members of my party staying there also had the same comments after their check in experience. The continental breakfast is NOTHING like the images displayed. There were no warm food options such as eggs or protein. No waffle maker. Only things to choose from were breads or baked goods (that were not fresh) and cereals. I wouldn’t complain, except that the images online were nothing like what we experienced and clearly an imaged pulled from online.

Rude front desk kid. Pictures online are 10 X better than the room in person. Granted the room was clean all the furnishings like the sink and shower curtain rods were rusted. The room was big but come on rusted sinks and shower rods. It's gross. My room was on the first floor so I could hear everything and this place is on the corner of a very busy intersection so it's loud and was hard to sleep. Last thing was I how strong of chemicals the room smelled. I almost left as I have asthma and it was making hard to stay in the room. I would never stay here again.

Room clould have been a little more clean. Painters tape pieces still left around the shutters, water cap left in the shower, shampoo/conditioner/body wash were very gunky. Dark marks on the ceiling around the shower. Tub is extremely slippery (mat provided is very small for the size of the tub). Elevator stopped working on our second day and walking up and down stairs with kids and 6 months pregnant wasn't the best part of our staying either. Pool are was closed for the entire time we were there eventhough they told us it would be operational in ~3 hrs. Breakfast provided was as basic as it gets. Parking lot, surrounding area, and eating area were very clean. Staff 2/3 we encountered at the front desk were very friendly.
