Beautiful hotel

Absolutely loved this hotel. We were made welcome from the minute we arrived. The room was beautiful with amazing views of the river and we had a lovely walk along the Quayside market on Sunday morning after a gorgeous breakfast at the hotel.

Second time staying here and don’t think k I’ll be back. I booked a room with a balcony which the door didn’t open so couldn’t go out, the hotel maintenance staff came to repair but stood and looked and said I think it needs reporting. This morning having a 12pm check out thought we would take the opportunity to have a lay in and a chilled morning for the cleaning staff keep coming in and out of our room even though I’d put the do not disturb sign on the door.

Ive stayed at Melia hotels in Liverpool and Newcastle and both are really nice. I had Ceasar Salad as room service and it was excellent. Nice to get comp drinks in the fridge as well. This time however the room was dirty. There was a lot of dust in the wadrobe area, and my white socks were black after walking around the room for an evening. There was also a damp smell coming from the bathroom which joins onto the main room. The rooms are nice thogh, and a large dest to work from, the bed was lovely and loads of towels. Staff on reception were great and there is a good little gym which I had to myself until 5:30 then it got a little busy
