Bay Vibes at its Best

Great Bay Area Vibe! Love this place! Relaxing, with a semi upscale feel. Laid back, great branding. Good family fun as well. Private secure parking. I had a truck full of event equipment and was totally comfortable with parking here. Great service, good bar options and food!

Parking is self park in a lot across the street for $50 no matter the circumstances. (We got in at 11pm and were leaving at 5am and it didnt matter) we booked a king size bed and it definitely was a queen. Just so happen the power went out or someething earlier that day so there was no TV or internet or phone. So we had to go down to get info on that since the phones didnt work. As a mom with a family traveling TV was so important. And they didnt even let us know at check in

There was no blackout curtain and the room had way way way too much light coming in, making it hard to sleep. The heat and HVAC was also very noisy. Pretty tough sleeping in a place that (checks notes) is meant for sleeping...

Hotel was great. We had drinks at the bar, tried to order food but they had said the kitchen was closed. It was a little after 6:30p and the referenced kitchen looked like a toaster oven similar to that at Starbucks…

Doesn’t live up to Marriott Standards

Although this hotel is fairly close to Lake Merritt, some good coffee shops, and restaurants-it lacks a lot. Parking is terrible….had to wait more than 20 minutes to get our car. (No valet parking). Coffee in lobby was never hot, they didn’t have creamer. Hallways are dark, hotel is old, not clean. I would definitely look elsewhere.

I didn’t even get to check in and had to get a refund because the hotel does not have valet and the receptionist who was very rude and condescending when she told me this, said that they have limited self parking and they were full. Basically with an attitude like “sucks to suck”. Luckily I was able to get a refund but now my NYE plans are cancelled =(
