No drinks, or water was offered while I stood 2 hours in line to check in. The room we got smelled like mold. The floors, shower, and mirrors were dirty. The sheets had stains. The mini fridge was dirty in the inside, rusty and condensation on the outside. The very next day I requested a new room which wasn’t much of an upgrade, but smelled less moldy. There were many mosquitoes and ants in the room. Room towels were not very clean and beach towels smelled musty. The buffet food options were limited, food often cold. Flies & cockroach. Restaurants a la carte only open on selected days and you can’t make reservations for dinner in advance, unless you check at exactly 9am. This is so inconvenient as the app doesn’t work well in the rooms bc of WiFi. The service at these restaurants took too long, staff don’t check in with you after you get your food. I made reservation for Tierra and I let the waiter know it was my mom’s birthday, he said they’d sing happy birthday and bring a dessert which never happened but they did sing happy birthday to someone else sitting at a table next to us. Overall I’m very disappointed. Pool and theater bars were full at all times. I got like 3 drinks the whole 6 days I stayed there. Drinks weren’t great. I very much disliked that guests were smoking everywhere including in the pool and by the bars although there were “No smoking”signs. Not all staff were friendly or welcoming. Genesis, Ariela and Danna were so wonderful, attentive and very kind.
