Clean Great Hotel, but bad location

I loved the hotel and its staff, and it was very clean. However, there are four buildings on the property. One of them is located way at the back, and to get to the third building, you must leave the main building and cross a railroad track. The railroad track is old, and there are homeless individuals nearby, which is a concern that needs to be addressed. I was traveling with my granddaughter, and since we had an early flight, we needed an Uber to take us to the airport. The hotel shuttle started operating too late, at 5:00 AM. We had to carry our suitcases across the track to the first building in the dark at 3:00 AM, which felt a bit scary. When we reached the front desk, there was no one there! It was frightening, but luckily, our Uber driver had arrived. I left the room key at the front desk and called out, but still, no one responded. The security situation wasn't reassuring; I didn’t see any security personnel around, and there was a homeless man sleeping near the hotel.

First of all, the receptionist was not friendly at all. It seems like she would rather be doing something else than helping us. Then the building we found out was on a separated from the main one. We have to either drive or walk to the main building that has the amenities. On the walk to the other building you would have to pass by some homeless people, which is not much of a problem as long as they don't bother me. The room didn't have a hair dryer, and when we asked, we're told that there should be one. So they were supposed to send one. They didn't show up until the next day. The only good part of the stay is the service at breakfast.

Friendly and attentive front desk staff. Room was spacious and clean. Environment of the facility was quiet, decent and clean. Breakfast was an ordinary continental breakfast, but it was sufficient. Price per night is reasonable.

I booked a 2 bedroom suite. The room was clean. However, the entrance door did not secure properly. You had to engage the 2 security latches but the door still did not close shut. The bathrrom door could not latch close or lock. You vould tell both doora were beoken into since there was damage to it. The master lighting switch was covered in foil & did not work. The AC in one room did not work at all. We requested for add'l wash cloths & was told none was available. The hotel is trying but maybe cause most of the staff is sitting around in the dining room in the day time. I would not stay here again. This is not what i paid for.

Staff at check in was rude little to no help. Was placed far from breakfast area on a whole nother building, with kids sucked. Train and freeway was noisy. Night time you can see lights thru the door, walls are thin you can hear the person next to you talking.
