I know they are in the middle of transitioning from the older hotel to their new branding. I can only speak of the floor I was on, but it is still sporting Hard Rock everything, including the room decor. That is not a bad thing, just noticeable. While the construction going on throughout the casino floor was really noticeable, there was no warning at check-in about the noise that would infiltrate the rooms. Even though we were on the 12th floor, both mornings we were jarred awake by loud banging from early starting construction outside. IT WAS LOUD. Although it would not have changed the rude awakening so early in the morning, getting a friendly warning from staff, or having signs prominently posted at registration about the noise would have been nice. Knowing it's coming does help a little. Could have bought earplugs, prepared by sleeping with a pillow over my head, or something. Only one real restaurant choice is available at this time, so we had to leave the hotel to find something that sounded good to us without any on-site options available. We plan on coming back when it's all done to see what all the noise and construction produced, but currently recommend finding someone else until they get things on order.

Stayed with my best friend for our 20 year High School reunion Sept 25’! Growing up in Tahoe, we have had family members work here and we have seen this property change hands many times! You can still see that they are transitioning from Hard Rock to Golden Nugget, but our stay was great! We had a gorgeous view, comfortable amenities and close proximity to downtown and not far from so many beautiful beaches! Great location!

Maintenance required

6am shower comes on by itself dripping on metal drain. Bathroom door won’t slide it’s off rail. I placed towel in shower to eliminate noise. Elevators broken.

This hotel was a great rate for the dates stayed, but the construction and pool closed Mon - Thursday would have been great to know about prior. Overall, it was an ok experience and I would stay again if the price is right.

We could see that there were major renovations going on but our room had some issues and had not been updated . There was a lot of wear and tear and the lamp between beds was broken as well as the fan and heat lamp in bathroom . We had a good sized mini fridge in the room but it was oddly freestanding against the wall near the bathroom - may have been a replacement for a built in at one time . Location was great for getting to ampitheater for concert. Nice view of lake from our room too.
