Rooms are very dated, nothing like the images on their site, definitely nothing premium about it. Pool is very small with sun tan lotion floating on top. Entering the hotel the clerk was in a verbal argument with a customer regarding pool towels, lobby and public spaces smelled. Breakfast was the only a bit nice but seating was like in a school cafeteria.

Lovely hotel, very poor half board option

The hotel was in a fabulous, central position. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the rooms were very nice. The one thing that really let the hotel down was the food. It was pretty much inedible, always cold and with a very limited variety of food. I would possible stay there again but only on a room only basis. It's such a shame as every other aspect of the hotel was good.

Would stay again

Good hotel very near the tram station and also the bus stop for the C6 bus from the airport. About 5 mins walk to the beach and about 15 mins to city. Very big room with free wi fi. Safe and kettle are free with a refundable deposit.

Nice hotel in a convenient location

Cons: Only criticism you might level is that the walls are quite thin. If you're a light sleeper perhaps that could bother you.
The Maya is located two minutes from Marq-Castillo tram station which is served by all four lines so there is a tram going into the centre, one stop away, every few minutes if you don't fancy the fifteen minute walk downhill into town. Going out of town, trams easily allow you to visit San Juan, Benidorm etc. Alternative to going into town a ten minute stroll north east takes you past the archeological museum into a bustling little suburb of cafes and bars (e.g. Plaza Manila) where I had morning pastries. Staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean and comfortable. I didn't eat there as I much prefer grazing in the tapas bars and cafes so can't comment on the food.
