Really enjoyed our stay at the Dog and Doublet. Accommodation was great, food amazing and the landlord Jacqueline was absolutely awesome. Would definitely stay here again with no hesitation.

First impressions where oops, However landlady was polite and friendly when we checked in Small court yard had old kitchen appliances in so looked untidy (these were removed during our stay so big improvement) Room comfortable however took a while for hot water for shower. Big positive was evening meal(s) and friendliness of staff and locals ( made to feel welcome). The rear of hotel was good benches to sit on by the canal. Downside was no breakfast available due to staff shortage. Suggested some improvements to staff member who would mention to landlady, these would allow an increase in payment for rooms thus giving a better turnover. All in all enjoyed stay because of food and bar.
