Flatters to deceive. Very grand entrance and lovely ground. But the room itself was fairly poor (grandly described as the 'executive room' and apparently the highest possible upgrade available in the hotel, yet was less well equipped than a travelodge at half the price) My daughter stood on a toe nail. There were scorched iron marks on the carpet. All quite unclean and a long time since it last saw a lick of paint. No shelf or anywhere to store toiletries in the bathroom. The most uncomfortable sofa bed. Certainly no air-con and not even a fan (on a hot day in August). If this is their best room, genuinely dread to think about their lesser rooms... We also got told we could sort breakfast in the morning, and we should come downstairs at 9am, which surprised the waiting staff who were expecting a wedding part of 30 for breakfast at the same time. We were accommodated (morning staff were good about it all, to be fair), but in short, a lot of people from all over the country were in one room, altogether, with plenty of shared buffet items to touch, one very slow toaster where everyone gathered... Not exactly 'COVID-secure'. Not a face mask in sight as well. Quite poor from an infection control point of view. Like I say, the grand entrance and grounds very much flatter to deceive with what is actually delivered. Go to a chain hotel for half the price instead.

We are so sorry to read your feedback regarding your stay at The Limes. I am disappointed you felt the room did not live up to your expectations from the grounds of the property. I am afraid we do not have air conditioning, however, we can certainly provide a fan at reception and from housekeeping. We are currently having upgrades on the hotel carpets. If you would give us the opportunity to return to the hotel I can ensure you are in a new superior room and restore your faith in The Limes. I am sorry the hotel was busy during your stay, we have continued to house key workers and essential staff throughout Covid 19 and are now also open to the public and proving popular for lesiure guests. I can assure you, we are following all government guidance and ensuring our guests are safe and comfortable. I will however ensure your feedback is passed to our staff to ensure busy times are controlled. We do hope we can welcome you back for a more pleasurable stay.

On arrival we were given a twin room not a double and told we could not have dinner or go to the bar or use any of the hotel facilities or even enter the public areas as they had a wedding booked. We had not been notified of this previously. When we got back from dinner the wedding was still in full swing and we were in the room directly above the very loud disco that went in until midnight. Staff were apologetic but could not move us. What was supposed to be a romantic night away was completely ruined. Do not stay here if there is a function on as you will be treated like a very second class guest. According to staff it is a regular occurrence if there is a function. Other guests are simply excluded from the hotel.

Very early weekend check out.

Pros: Nice bar area.
Cons: Weekend Check out time. Breakfast until 10.30 and price 2 for £10.00 . The chef is there do more covers ?
Location: Easy to find. Major shopping at Redditch.
Very pleasant motel. Car park very slippy due to ice. Why no evident salt or grit put down was odd. Room pleasant but dated poor shower and bed.Electric panel heater in room kept the chill off but was never warm. Attended Christmas meal at hotel and had to check out by 10am on a Sunday normally 11 to 12. Breakfast offered until 9.30 just too early for weekend guests.Wetherspoons breakfast in Redditch at 11am was better value.
