The Shippon is ideally located just minutes from Croyde, Saunton, Putsborough and Woolacombe beaches, making it perfect for surf trips, coastal walks and beach days. Enjoy great local walks to Georgeham, Croyde and Putsborough, with the coast just 2.5 miles away.



Nearby Braunton is known for its relaxed surf culture, independent cafés, pubs and restaurants, while Braunton Burrows — a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve — offers stunning dunes and wildlife.

Getting Around:

We have off-road parking for one car with an electric car charger. I would recommend using a car to get around but there is a bus stop approximately 1 mile from the barn



Other Things to Note:

We have a few policies in place to ensure all guests enjoy a relaxing, safe, and comfortable stay: We appreciate your cooperation with these policies – they help us maintain a high standard for all guests. We're looking forward to welcoming you!



Check-in is from 4:00 pm, and check-out is by 10:00 am. Early arrival or late departure may be available on request but is not guaranteed.

The lead guest must be 25 years or older. We reserve the right to request photo identification.

No parties or events – this is a peaceful countryside setting and we ask all guests to respect that.

No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

Dogs: We welcome well-behaved, house-trained dogs (maximum of two). Dogs must be kept downstairs only and off all furniture.

No fake tan, please – it can cause permanent stains to our luxury bedding and towels. Any damage may incur a replacement or cleaning fee.

Lost keys: A £50 fee applies to cover locksmith or replacement costs.

Optional Sofa Bed Available

If you would like to use the sofa bed, please let us know in advance so we can prepare it for you. There is a charge of £30 per night for additional guests using the sofa bed.

EV Charging Available

We have an EV charger available on-site. Charging is offered at a flat rate of £10 per day.

Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring an electric vehicle so we can make sure the charger is available and accessible.
