Lovely grounds and main building. Staff very friendly and helpful. We arrived at just before 5pm and our room wasn't ready, they didn't seem to be able to find the housekeeping staff and we were given a different room. When we arrived it was a member of the kitchen staff prepping the rooms. Our room was generally good but the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied (baby's nappy still in it) and the previous guests' soap was still in the shower. There were also issues with the toilet flushing. The bed was massive and comfy and the main room itself was very nice, but there was obviously a staffing issue and the bathroom needed an update.

Woodlands

The Hotel itself was set in lovely Country setting. The rooms were clean, comfortable bed. Shower & bathroom were excellent 'great powerful' shower. I was in room 302 which was an adjoining room. You could hear next door and also during the night the fire doors kept banging when guests departed to their rooms. Breakfast on the first morning wasn't I'm afraid very good especially around 09:30am. Hardly anything was left no Bacon, Eggs, Sausages. Plus to make matters worse only 2 members of staff on so most of the Tables needed clearing no where to sit and as previously mentioned all hot foods needed topping up urgently. Orange Juice was empty even though guests were still coming in for breakfast. But overall I would stay here again. I originally went for a Wedding & Val one of the members of staff seem to be the most organised out of every member of staff - WELL DONE Val.

Stayed for a party. When I arrived there was no one in reception& I had to wait for 10 minutes for someone. Room was large with super king size comfy bed. Bathroom was tired. Very quiet nights sleep other than backing onto staff car park so some car movement quite early. Short staffed at breakfast and slow service at times. Food hot & tasty and good variety. Hash browns would have been good!
