Neutral stay - no pool

We had a family vacation at Marriot. Upon arrival, customer service was neutral, was not offered the ammenities or where to locate them in the premises. The outdoor pool which was the main reason for booking this hotel outside of downtown chicago, was under construction and not shared/advised when i checked in. Some of the decor in the hotel and carpeting is a bit outdated. Room and RR were clean. Solid AC/Heating. Housekeeping did not bother us too early in the morning, they still came in and tidy up our room while we were out n about! 3/5 Stars and would come back. We traveled here from out of state.
