Hygge Casita

Welcome to the Hygge Casita in the heart of the city! This tiny home has been designed to promote comfort, contentment, and well-being. Beautifully appointed, light and airy, adorned with lots of cozy materials, and all sorts of curated amenities.

Sip your favorite beverage on the covered deck, or wander the private grounds filled with Russian sage, roses, lilacs, sunflowers and pine trees. Warm yourself around our outdoor fireplace. Our Hygge Casita welcomes you to your home away from home.

THE SPACE:

This cozy, tiny home is thoughtfully designed to make the most of its space.

Please note that it is compact at 180 sq ft, with stairs leading to the primary bedroom loft, which has low ceilings (about 5'4" high).

Outside, you'll find a fully-fenced private yard with plenty of seating, including a picnic table—perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or an evening under the stars. The yard is also ideal for guests traveling with a small dog.

Located in the Villa Park neighborhood, you’ll be just minutes from all that downtown Denver has to offer—restaurants, shops, museums, and live entertainment—while still enjoying a quiet, residential vibe.

Villa Park is well connected by public transit, and you’ll have easy access to major highways for getting around the city. Nature lovers will also appreciate being close to local trails and green spaces, including Lakewood/Dry Gulch Park and the popular Sloan’s Lake Park, Denver’s second-largest park.

PARKING:

A private alley parking spot is included with enough space for most cars and small trucks.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

We have space for storage items within the tiny home loft for longer-term stays, but space is limited. The kitchen comes equipped with a medium-sized air fryer/toaster/oven unit.

Due to the size of our home, please note that we allow small dogs (30 lbs and under) only.

For all stays, a starter kit of paper towels, toilet paper, coffee, tea, brown sugar packets, and creamer pods is provided.

HOUSE RULES:

NO-SMOKING OR VAPING

Smoking or vaping of any kind is not permitted indoors. A home recovery fee of $200 will be charged if there is a smoke smell or signs of smoking following a guest’s departure. If a lingering smell causes the next guest to cancel their stay, the cost of the cancelled reservation will also be charged.

If smoking outdoors, please extinguish and throw all cigarette butts in the outside trash bin. Please do not leave cigarette butts in any indoor trash bins.

NO PARTIES OR EVENTS

A fine of $500 will be charged for any unauthorized parties on the grounds that have not been approved by the host. If additional guests arrive that were not pre-approved by the host, your reservation will be cancelled and a refund will not be issued.

QUIET HOURS

For our neighbors’ sake and noise-ordinance laws, please observe quiet time from 10:00pm – 8:00am.

PET POLICY

• Small pets only (30 lbs or less) due to the size of our home.
• Pets must stay off the furniture, including the beds.
• Pets must be house trained and always supervised.
• Please pick up after your pets and take any waste directly to the outdoor trash bin.
• Post-stay fee of $50 will apply for removal of animal waste from the grounds or removal of pet hair from furniture and linens.
• If pet damage causes the next guest to cancel their stay, the cost of the cancelled reservation will also be charged.

This cottage offers its guests a garden. The front desk is open around the clock.

This Denver cottage is smoke free.
