In general - luxury hotel. the staff and policy at the half board restaurant is not what you'd expect. they charge you extra for water and would not let you drink or bring your own water bottle. then charge you $10 for a small water bottle. Also hotel is huge and hard to get from room to spa or fitness or other amenities. you need a buggy but they get busy in certain hours of the day so you may have to wait like 15 minutes. Overall the room was hugh and we liked the room service.

The hotel operates an ATM that is known for accepting international Cards, but capturing cards. This happened to me on the first day. When I reported it, they said it had happened to others before as well. If that's the case, why is the ATM still located in the hotel? We were told we would get a luxury room with a sea view. But I didn't see any sea, but a dirty roof of something. The room was just average, not what we expected. I was disappointed. Additionally, the check-in was very slow. On the first day, we had to wait in a long line because only two front desks were open. They have a nice walking park, pools. The food was nice.

This was my first trip to Dubai, and I was extremely pleased with the hotel and the excellent staff. I cannot say enough good things about their service. The hotel itself is beautiful and I would stay here again and again.

Oliviers made the best coffee and served with great care. Laguna in the evening was a relaxed and pleasant environment. Staff everywhere greeted you with a smile and could not do enough for you. Made our holiday perfect.

Good hotel. Staff really look after you (housekeeping and waiting staff). Check in went smootly as did check out. Sadly no welcome drinks or a water dispenser nearby. Plenty pool options and if going half board restaurants choices are plenty but do book in advance. I couldn't advise much about the facilities the hotel offers as this wasnt explained to me, there is shuttle services which i enquired about. They do have a fab kids club only discovered what they do there on the day before leaving, movies and activities (some require extra cost) you can stay with the children or leave them which is handy to know because my 5yr old wouldnt be there alone. Pool / lifeguards are very attentive, slight sign of difficulty they are in. I am happy with our stay but would have liked to know more about the hotel. I didnt visit the spa or gym once, no idea where it was and wasnt comfortable asking as some of the staff didnt seem approachable. We had a fire alarm going off, from 5th floor walked down the stairs, there was no rush, no evacuation point , staff said it was a drill. Would have been nice to notify the guests formally by the hotel, people appeared to take their chances of burning inside a building than standing outside 40degree heat. I took my family out as we werent sure if it was real, the noise was loud and fire brigade attended to. Nice to see staff acted well and fast for themselves but lack of management notifying us was a let down.
