The property is in need of refurbishment. Our room had wallpaper coming off the wall in 2 places. The lighting in the bathroom is very poor.

Pleasantly surprised

Had a very comfortable 1 night stay at the Hillcrest for a party being hosted there. The room was clean & comfortable, had to turn the radiator off though as it was too hot. Pleasantly surprised with the drinks facilities normally it's just tea & coffee which I don't drink but there was drinking chocolate which I drank & biscuits that most hotels have stopped doing. The staff were pleasant & my overall stay was very good. I would recommend this to anyone staying in the Widnes area

Room needs decorating

Pros: It looked beautiful from the outside and great inside. The Receptionist was very cheerful and friendly.
Cons: Room could do with redecorating.
Location: Nice and quiet area but not far from the M62 and Liverpool.
The hotel looks as lovely inside as it does from the outside. The Receptionist was very welcoming and friendly and my room looked big and comfortable but it did look a bit 'tired'. Having said that I had a great sleep and an excellent shower in the morning. I would love to stay there again, especially if they had given the rooms a bit of decorating.
