As far as cleanliness goes, the room was disgusting. Dirt, grime and different types of hairs in the bed and in the room everywhere. The bed was absolutely disgusting. Surrounding area was noisy snd dirty (construction going on in the surrounding area, trash everywhere, and homelessness was very prominent.

We really enjoyed this hotel, the staff were super nice and answered all of our questions and even held onto our luggage even tho we had a flight at 7pm! They’re super amazing! They also have security for the building so I feel super safe in the hotel! Outside of the hotel it’s not too far from the train stations or bus stations, but just be careful due to homeless population at night. Otherwise I’d stay again 100% 5 stars for this hotel.

Stayed for three nights in the middle of DTL close to the train stations and bus stops (we loved this part). Our room was super clean, very modern and the staff was super nice. Breakfast and Coffee options was 10/10. Would definitely recommend.

I usually like citizenM, however the air conditioning was not working the entire night and I was sweating profusely. It made me really uncomfortable to sleep while being so hot. Also the tv doesn’t connect to phone for streaming

Definitely try it if you don’t need a big room

Was pleasantly surprised by my experience as this was a first for me staying in a CitizenM property and have to say I really Iove the concept and the culture of this hotel. Great technology in the room with an iPad to control everything, good workstation, very comfortable King Size bed and super fluffy pillows. All the staff were awesome, friendly and helpful and the lobby area has a great vibe. Buffet breakfast was excellent as well (there is $ charge for that).

My husband and I loved the stay. All employees were nice, excellent breakfast and cleaning. I told them it was my husband's birthday and they filled the room with balloons and gave us a card with a free drink. We feel very special. The only point is that the downtown of Los Angeles is completely dirty and unsafe. But about the Hotel, nothing to complain about.

When we learned that Citizen M has a location in LA, we did not hesitate to book our stay there. So far, we have stayed at Citizen M in NYC (Bowery), Miami (WorldCenter), Boston (North Station), and now Los Angeles (Downtown). Each location has unique features and art, but the consistent and cleverly designed rooms make you feel right at home. We always admire how easy checking in and checking out is. The staff is always friendly and eager to help… including security. For anyone a little nervous about this spot being located downtown LA, do not worry. We always felt safe and even explored much of the area by foot. There are plenty of great food spots near by. We definitely recommend staying here.
