I highly recommend this place for its location — it’s very beautiful and clean. The value for money is good. I would improve the breakfast, as there aren’t many options, but overall it’s fine. The hot tub is small and outdoors, but it works well.

The roll over sofa is like you sleeping on the rocks. They need to put a new one 💯. There was no shampoo at all. For people of 3 it only 1 towel. And yes I definitely can go and ask ,no problem, but do I have to??? I think if I pay for something, I would like to have it. I don't think I have to point out to people about something that need to be done when hotel was setting up our room.

We have stayed at the HP for years….always a favorite. One highlight has always been the expansive hot breakfast. We were VERY disappointed this time and might reconsider future stays. The breakfast was stripped down and minimal with just cold cereal, fruit, yogurt, and bread. Very disappointed. We even planned on the typical hearty breakfast when making our itinerary. Very disappointed.

For the money you pay you can better breakfast and other service. You go to an hotel to relax not to get stressed. Breakfast was felt like Motel 6 or 8. The lift was broken and they have given us a room on 4th floor. I had to carry 2 suite-cases all by myself. The internet was broken throughout our stay. They was a puddle of water just outside our room.

This is a very charming hotel in the Old Town section of Monterey. Easy access to restaurants and tourist spots. We loved our room with the gas fireplace and cute balcony. It also had a very nice size bathroom. We also enjoyed the free breakfast, in a very welcoming space.

Unique room my husband loved the fireplace in December is perfect time for warmth. My husband and I love the breakfast. Saturdays was extra special. They had bacon and sausage, scrambled eggs and all the other things we love that it was pet friendly great location too we could walk to many places and yes, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

A couple key complaints as these were significant reasons that I chose this hotel over other options. First, guaranteed parking is not free or included as the Travelocity listing says. Instead, limited street parking is free on Sundays and after 6pm. The evening I checked in, I got the last street parking spot and it was pretty early. If you can’t find street parking, it is $22/night. Weekday breakfast is pretty pitiful and the online breakfast photos and description is very misleading. I was told that weekends are better but I was there on a Monday morning. Check-in was easy, but I had to push back about the parking situation before I was told about street parking. The room was comfortable but the property itself could use some attention.

The room was beautiful and spacious. The bed was very comfy. The staff were friendly and I was able to check in a few hours early. The only downside was the elevator was not functioning. It was a great stay, and it is in a convenient location. I would stay here again!
