Nice enough for the location, but SO LOUD! The door had a gap between the door and frame and a draft kept coming in; windows did nothing to filter noise from outside. I’m all for people having a good time, but the room above us was so loud it seemed they might drop right thru the ceiling 😂 You can hear everyone walking past at night. Breakfast staff was lovely, and you can park there until 5pm day of checkout, so we were able to walk to the aquarium and around without having to move the car.

The hotel was cute. Parking and check in was easy! The free breakfast was ok, nothing to write home about. We brought our 10 month old and had a suite, we let her crawl around after making sure there was nothing she could get into and the floors were filthy. Her outfit was black afterwards, I don’t think they ever mopped those floors. The bathrooms could have been a little cleaner, stuff on the walls, etc. It was very close to the aquarium. We walked to the old fisherman’s wharf a few times. Downtown was close and had great food options.

Lovely atmosphere and so relaxing. I would stay there all of the time if I went to Monterey. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff was super nice. The only thing that was not great was breakfast.

Very nice hotel! Was pet friendly which was great. Only really got to deal with staff during check in and out, but they were very friendly, and speedy. Definitely will be staying here again!

Nice place to stay when in Monterey, CA. Away from the touristy places; quiet and walk able to to local restaurants and pubs. Recommend this place if you are looking for a "saner, safer, affordable and quiet stay"!

This property is in a great location for walking to everything. The layout of the hotel is weird. We chose this location because it was dog friendly. The rooms were okay; however the elevators and common areas were filthy. It’s not a hotel I would personally go back to. In addition, we had an issue with tenants in the room next door,.. it ended in a verbal altercation and them being removed, due to the nose at 4AM.

No Refunds!!!!

It started off great. Until the hotel rented to someone at 3am. Then the party started and ended with a violent screaming match which left us terrified and awake with fear. We called the police who cam and removed them but unfortunately hotels.com didn’t think that warrants a refund and since the hotel recommended we went through a 3rd party because its cheaper we ended up cutting our trip short because we were exhausted after the horrible night sleep.
