Good location

Stayed 1 night in the junior suite. The room was spacious and bed very confortable. However, the lift was tempermental and we were on the top floor with 3 heavy suitcases. But other than that it was a very good location and close to walk to the restaurants for dinner and breakfast, as well as the pier for Whale watching.

The room is more than a bed and bathroom. With the fireplace, couch, dining table and balcony it’s very cozy and comfortable. The host was very pleasant. On site parking for a fee. Less than a 5 minute walk to Fishermans Wharf and maybe 15 to Cannery Row. Love the eclectic layout of the property and the outside seating areas with the fountains. Will definitely be returning.

Hotel was in a very good location, loved the fact that we didn’t have to drive at all to explore the town. As far as the hotel, it was fine. Easy to park, room was big. Not noisy. The breakfast was good too.

Pros: The customer service at the front desk was great. She was very pleasant. The hotel is very close to fisherman wharfs, it was just walking distance. There was a farmers market that caught us by surprise during our walk, which was a bonus for us! (Only on Tuesdays). The drive to the aquarium, lovers point and Carmel was very close by! Took us about 5 mins to get to each destination. Cons: The breakfast was just ok. The staff servicing the breakfast area wasn’t very nice. We felt uncomfortable and an inconvenience to them just for being there. We felt a little rushed during breakfast. I have a 2 year old toddler that couldn’t eat fast enough to get out of their way. The door closes exactly at 10am and they rushed to put all things away as soon as the door closes making us feel unwelcome. 10am was a totally different atmosphere, like an eerie feeling to it. The hotel room carpet was not clean so bring house slippers with you. My toddler had black feet from running around the hotel room, I don’t think they even clean the carpet before we arrived. I had to put socks on him to avoid getting his feet dirty again. The bathtub and shower was not scrubbed clean, seems like all they did was rinsed it. I was hesitant to give my toddler a bath there, he might be cleaner without it. The shower pressure was not great. I wore my sandals in the shower because it wasn’t clean. Overall, I would give this place 6/10, so book at your own risk. In my opinion, I would never stay here again

Had ants in the room around an electrical socket and a clogged shower. They cleared the drain but couldn’t get rid of the ants. They offered a different room but we weren’t staying long so didn’t bother. Room is a nice size and hotel is in a great location but the facilities need an update. Linens and towels were clean though.
