We always choose the Vermont when visiting Newcastle it is in a perfect location and the staff are great. The hotel is having an upgrade staring in the top floor working down which will be great as the rooms are currently quite dated but still nice, everything you need and a decent size.

The stay was very good. On arrival check in and parking was great. We were staying for our 10year wedding anniversary after getting married at the Vermont hotel. Once checked in we went to the room to be welcomed by a happy anniversary message and some cake which was lovely touch. The room was really clean and tidy, spacious and had everything we needed. Breakfast in the morning was great, plenty of options to choose from and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great stay

Avoid 10th floor or anything with a quayside view if you enjoy sleeping as the noise from the roof bar is extremely loud. There is no warning when you book. We had to move rooms as a result. Staff were nice and pleasant

Very pleasant stay! Easy, free parking directed by a concierge Easy check in, arrived early and our room was ready for us. Room was spotless and very well maintained, had everything we needed and a lovely view of the castle. All staff very pleasant and helpful when needed including the bar staff in the Redwood bar which was a lovely peaceful experience with a a great selection of whisky to just relax at the end of the night. Convenient location, just a short walk from the main part of the city. The Vermont will now be my go to hotel for Newcastle
