We enjoyed the swim-up bar along with the bartenders (they were fantastic). While the entertainment could be better, the guy who ran the events was very energetic and fun. The food overall was not enjoyable - we only enjoyed one restaurant out of them all. Making the reservations was not easy using the QR code when I needed help, the guest service people were not friendly. Halfway through our trip, our toilet would not flush at all. I had to complain 5 times for them to fix it and it ended with our toilet leaking all over the floor so we had to switch rooms. You can only use the jacuzzi by the spa if you either pay for a massage OR pay $15.00 per hour which is ridiculous. We did find the resort overall to be very clean and the cleaning staff were very thorough. They also do try to get you to attend a breakfast for some sort of timeshare thing which we did not do thanks to being warned by the reviews. The pool areas and layout of the resort are very beautiful but def need updating and better maintenance. I like that you are able to use the family side of the resort while staying on the adult side but I don't think we would stay here again - really boils down to not enjoying the food.

The resort itself was okay. But if you went to the beach you were hassled to buy this and buy that. If you did not book your excursions through the hotel, so they could get a piece of the pie, they would refuse to take you to the main gate. The resort has alot of food options as far as resturants. Overall, the resort on the adults side was boring. The most annoying part is that they attempt to have you buy into their exclusive club for $25,000+. The stay was more stressful and annoying then relaxing.

The property is beautiful and there are several dinning options. The wait staff are great. I was a bit disappoonted because I requested laundry service from the front desk and room staffs several times, which I was told that they will provide and never provides the bag and fee list I needed to get the servicesl. I had to travel back home with a suitcase of dirty cloths.

I love everything about this place but my room sink was clogged up. EVERYONE WAS SO SWEET AND NICE.. Carlos the bartender and his partner was awesome food was delicious... the mattress on the bed needs to be new.. its getting worn out. (Dip in the bed) but overall Catania Royal was. awesome

I like the pool and the staff was very nice. What I didn't like was that there was no ice machines. I had to call room service twice for ice which was annoying and inconvenience. Also I was surprised that it didn't have a buffet and when we checked in I asked the receptionist and she said that there wasn't one. However, I found out 1 day before we were leaving by another person whobwas staying there that we could go to the buffet at Catalonia beach.
