This hotel ranks #1 on our list of family vacation stays. The hotel was conveniently located to Mission Beach, Belmont Park, and the beach shops. The hotel was spacious, clean, family friendly, and the grounds were beautifully maintained. After a long day of sightseeing, we actually looked forward to returning to the hotel. The hotel staff were friendly, and the cleaning staff did an excellent job everyday. We did have to pay $29 for parking each day, but that cost included a day and night shift security guard patrolling the grounds. We will definitely return to the Dana.

They scheduled a private party so you couldn’t use the pool or restaurant. We reserved a pool view and they said they upgraded us to a suite but when we went to the room it overlooked the public restrooms at an adjoining park. The room was old and smelled. We left and they gave us a full refund.

Nice place in good location with friendly staff

Overall nice place in good location. Most staff were very friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed the stay. Shower/tub looked a little dated and would have preferred a bathroom door instead of a sliding privacy screen.

We liked the uniqueness of the property and cleanliness. We did not like that parking was an extra $35. We decided to pay for parking because we were advised that the area around the hotel is not safe for leaving your vehicle. $35 is not advertised anywhere in the price, only on the dana website. The room we had was very loud, it seemed we could here every footstep of the people upstairs and every word of the people walking by. The fan for the room did not have a setting to stay constantly running to drown out noise. Scenery and property were great. If you are looking for privacy and comfort this might not be it.

Staying at the Dana on Mission Bay was such a great experience. The staff are friendly and the pools were phenomenal. Happy hour was good, should bring more of the margarita mixtures. Would recommend staying at the Dana on Mission Bay.

The location was perfect in San Diego. The resort was beautiful. The rooms were very cozy and modern. Tons of tv channels and streaming options! They had laundry onsite and 2 pools. The pools were a great vibe. Staff was friendly, nice, and helpful!

My daughter and I truly enjoyed our stay! The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the Firefly restaurant, as well as their room service. The location is convenient & walkable to whale-watching tours & other nearby restaurants. I highly recommend The Dana for both business and pleasure!
