3 night exploring san fran trip

This hotel is a 10 minute walk from union square where the cable car for lombard st and the trolley buses run from so its handy for visiting all parts of the city. The junior suites are spacious with a big bathroom with shower and powerful jacuzzi bath great for easing tired muscles. The 2 queen beds are comfortable and there are ample drawers and hanging rails. There free wi-fi and lat screen tv and a kitchen equipped with cooker microwave fridge cutlery and pots and pans and sink. They provided tea bags and milk each day but no kettle so we made tea using a saucepan to boil water! There was a good choice of muffins, pastries,fresh fruit and hot drinks for breakfast free of charge between 7am and 10am and also wine/cheese later which we didnt try. reception helpful and decor of hotel good apart from our bedroom carpet which needed replacing. All in all, a lovely hotel at a very reasonable price.

Our USA Holiday

San Francisco was the second city in our tour of the USA. Beresford Arms hotel is in a very good central location within walking distance of Powell Street and Union Square. Hotel is a little dated, but the staff were very friendly and the evening complimentary wine was very welcome after a long day. Price was reasonable given the location and that continental breakfast was included. I would return to this hotel.

Nice location - friendly staff

Only a few blocks up from Union Square. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. It's an old hotel and that shows at times but the staff were great. Liked the big lobby too

Homely, comfortable base for shopping and sightseeing

I stayed at the Beresford with my three daughters and we had booked a junior suite but we were upgraded to a large corner suite (307) with a living room which had a pull down double bed and dining area, bedroom with two double beds, a kitchen and bathroom. Beds were so comfortable! The location was perfect, being just a short walk to Union Square with shops, cable cars and tour buses. The staff are lovely and very helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed. Breakfast pastries and fruit were a bonus and the wine and cheese socials were lovely and so nice to come back to in the late afternoon. There was some street noise but this is San Francisco and it was short lived. We couldn't fault this hotel and would return again without hesitation. Highly recommend it.

Great Value

We recently stayed 7 nights at the Beresford Arms Hotel. We could not find fault with it at all. The staff were excellent and extremely helpful. We had an excellent holiday and the wine and cheese late afternoon was an excellent touch. There was no problem with the area if I had to make a critisism it would be that some of the usrrounding areas are less selective so you had to be aware of the route you were takinng but it was ot a problem.

Central, cozy and comfortable

Overall we enjoyed this hotel. The location was good, easy walking from Union Square and plenty good eating places right across the street as well as a friendly laundrette and mini market. We had a junior suite on the 8th floor which was comfortable, cozy and clean. Perhaps an upgrade of carpet and bed covers would make it feel newer and not so dated but apart from that no complaints. Staff helpful when asked. Nice touch was the breakfast and especially the complimentary cheese and wine betwen 430 and 530pm daily in the lobby. Would recommend as good base for touring San Francisco for 3-4 days. M and K, Scotland.

séjour en famille

Contrairement aux avis négatifs que j'ai eu à lire avant mon passage au Beresford Arms, qu'il me soit permis de dire que cet établissement offre toutes les conditions requises pour un séjour formidable. Hormis le petit déjeuner dont la qualité laisse un peu à désirer, le reste est irréprochable.

Gutes, zentrales Stadthotel

Zentral gelegenes Hotel, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Nur WIFI war im Zimmer nicht immer vorhanden.
