Lakefront Retreat on Lake Marion

1450st ft. Lakefront home with huge dock and gorgeous views of the water that offer tranquil days and nights. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets and starlit nights! All utilities INCLUDED with exception of cable (the home comes with fiber/high speed internet that’ll support streaming services). Home is COMPLETELY furnished. Due to size, home comfortably sleeps 4, but can support up to 10. All you need to do is show up and enjoy. Property includes covered parking with plenty of room for boat trailers as well.

There is a boat launch to the left of our left-side neighbor. Key is provided to access. We just ask that no one walk through our neighbors yard to/from. We have both a small charcoal grill as well as a gas grill for your use and convenience. Firewood and a fire ring are provided for use as well. Yard is NOT fenced. All children and approved pets MUST BE MONITORED/WATCHED. SUMMER MONTHS: From Late May till end of August there will be Mayfly hatches. This is unavoidable. Mayflies when they hatch will swarm and you’ll see them EVERYWHERE and stick to EVERYTHING. They are harmless, but are not very sightly. We make every effort to keep the outside of the property clean, but in less than 24 hours a mayfly hatching can make a place look like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. You’ll be staying on a body of water so expect bugs, ants, mosquitoes, etc.

The property was so comfortable. We would have loved to have had more silverware, especially forks. Could not get the ceiling fans in the main room to come on. So happy there was ice available when we arrived. Outside lights from neighbors were a bit annoying, but not overwhelming. Loved that the lake bottom was sandy and not full of clay. So nice to have some books to read. Would have loved to have had some lake toys such as a raft or canoe. Dock is treacherous in a couple of spots. The mayflies were in full force, but that's God's plan. Loved the inspirational signs around the house. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well appointed. Neighbors were very friendly. Meet Randy and Richard and say hello. The locals are very nice! We found just enough charcoal to cook a wonderful steak. Brushed off front of house, but the mayflies came back. Loved that there were dish/laundry tabs available. Coffee and creamer were greatly appreciated. We would recommend your house to anyone! Dishwasher leaks and leaves puddle on kitchen floor.

It was good. The house needed a better cleaning. The refrigerator was not clean. Mouse droppings on the floors. Roaches when you turn the kitchen light on in the mornings

Relaxation on the lake Fun! Fun ! Fun!

We arrived at the lake house. What an amazing view of Lake Marion! No problems entering the property or the house itself. Plenty of parking for our 3 vehicles. The location is VERY convenient to Santee and I-95. Once in the house, our expectations were exceeded. The expansive porch was perfect for hanging out and gazing at the lake. The dock provided ample room for fishing, although those fish had other ideas about being caught. The house itself had ample room for our 6 adults and two children. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware and items like a garlic press. Well, I like to cook. And We found enough counter space for our stuff. Maybe a beverage fridge would be nice, but instead we loaded our coolers with ice. Bring a kayak and you can launch from the beach We should have!! Instead, we rented a pontoon boat 1/2 day from a nearby Marina in Santee. The house is a 10-15 minute drive . We even roasted marshmallows at the fire pit for some delicious s’mores… ample wood supply. I can’t wait to return soon for another lake stay. Our host was quick with return texts to any questions we needed to ask. I would highly recommend a respite at this lake home for fun fun fun! 👍

Lake House getaway

It was much more beautiful than it appears outside, the bugs are horrible this time of year but like I was warned there harmless. I booked this house because of size and location and the hot tub which I found out had been removed and the app hadn't been updated. That would be my only complaint. Needed that for the weekend!

Gorgeous dock and view of the sunset

Well first impressions when driving into the property I was embarrassed for my family to see the outside of the house which was covered with mayflies and that might just be a two or three week thing. I thought maybe the owner would have had the house pressure washed if they had been there and seen that. It didn't seem to bother the family after they came in and seen how nice the inside was very nice living room with big TV very nice kitchen nice size bathrooms the bedrooms were very small that didn't matter the beds were smaller than we thought they were supposed to be. The listing said a hot tub which there wasn't. Refrigerator wasn't very clean. As much as they charge for a cleaning fee that place should be spotless. Everyone seem to have a good time and it didn't seem to bother them except for the very small beds they had trouble sleeping probably won't rent this property again.

Awesome views and location!

Great location on Lake Marion. Dock is set up for fishing and we caught a few big ones. House itself is exactly as described. Maybe not the Ritz, but it's Lake Marion. It's perfect for what it is. Very nice screened in porch looking out over the water. Almost a low country feel to the property and views. About 5 min from I-95 and 10 min from Santee Food Lion. Bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was equipped appropriately. Great location for a golf weekend as well - plenty of decent courses within about 20 - 30 min. Great spot for a quick get away.

Lake House

I stayed with three of my brothers . Another brother was in the campground just down the road. We grilled out every night and really enjoyed the screened in porch. The house is very clean and well kept. I highly recommend the place. Host upgrade the cookware but overall a Homerun. Great stay we will be back!

Parent’s anniversary trip

This was the perfect place for family and friends to gather by the lake! Beautiful views and great access to the lake. The house had everything we needed! Plenty of room for everyone. Would definitely come back and stay.

Other than the fish not biting our vacay was amazing. We did not want to leave. Beautiful, serene and peaceful. House is spotless on the inside and truly felt like home. Owner was easy to contact by text. We will definitely be back soon!

Unfortunately the first impression was not so good. The property lacks on cleanness, therefore I just gave it a three star. Overall the stay was good. Loved the view from the house overlooking Lake Marion and the peaceful area.

Memorial Weekend stay at the lake

This property is a great vacation home on the lake. The house was very comfortable and spacious. Having a very large screened in porch, nice lawn and large dock was a great bonus. The owner was easy to communicate with and very responsive.

Annual fishing trip

Nice waterfront home with a vintage feel. Great screened in porch, deck and dock! Nicely furnished for a crowd. Manager (Mark) was extremely helpful. He even hooked us up with a pontoon boat rental for the week! We had some issues during our stay but Mark was very attentive and willing to address our concerns. I would gladly recommend this property. There were 10 of us, five Viet Nam era Air Force Boom operators and their wives. First time the wives have joined in and we all had a blast!

Cozy little getaway at the lake

We really enjoyed our stay. There were eight of us total- 4 adults and 4 kids, and we had just enough space. Love the back screened porch with the view of the lake. Kids enjoyed running around and throwing the football in the yard, as well as fishing off the dock. We also brought our boat, so enjoyed a few days of fishing out on the water. Owner was very responsive. Thanks for a great time!
