A good place to Stay; a good place to eat!

Pros: I particularly liked the general ambience, which was one of relaxation, but continued to be friendly and efficient.
Location: We visited the Vale and Downland Museum, in Wantage, which we found to be informative and had interesting and stimulating exhibitions.
The room was pretty much what we needed and was situated in a purpose built barn, detached from the pub/restaurant. I and my wife found this helpful, as I am an early riser, so I could go to the lounge area of the restaurant and read until my wife appeared for breakfast. As a Coeliac, but one who is also intolerant to Dairy, Soy and Yeast Products along with Lentils, Cashew, Chicken & Turkey. I, and my wife on my behalf are very careful about the food I eat. The Chef was excellent in adapting his menu (sometimes with a day's notice) to feed me. Both breakfast and dinner were treated with a similar care by both the waiting staff and the kitchen so I was able to have a relaxed stay.
