Charming small hotel on quiet street

Pros: Just about everything.
Cons: I'd have liked to get a cold beer when I arrived on a hot day. Would be nice if beer and wine could be sold at reception.
Location: The great museums — Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk, Van Gogh — are a 5-minute walk away around Museumplein.
Perfect in every way for a short stay. My room was small, but so well designed that I couldn't have been happier if it had been twice the size. Comfy bed, silent air-conditioning, good internet, Nespresso machine. Hotel is close to the Museum Quarter, on a very quiet street well away from the turmoil of the city centre, two minutes from the Roelof Hartplein tram stop for the No 5 Tram to Central Station and. Good traditional brasserie — Wildschut — on Roelof Hartplein

Excellent Hotel

Pros: Good sized, warm room with free hot drinks in the cold weather!
Location: right by public transport and bakeries.
Great hotel. Lady on reception on arrival showed us loads of places to visit/how to get there/what was good to do as this was our first visit to Amsterdam. The hotel was right beside tram 5 stop (less than a minutes walk), which was a main line through all the major attractions in the city centre and reached the centre in about 10mins (but you could walk from the hotel to the centre in about 15-20 which we did a few times). We never had breakfast at the hotel but there were bakeries around the hotel area which we grabbed things in before getting on the tram. The free mini bar and Nesspresso machine in the room were great and refreshed daily. So nice to have a coffee in the morning and when we got in in the afternoon before heading out for the evening and was great to take drinks and snacks out with us for the day. There was also free fruit and chocolate in reception. We had a basement room, which was very light with two floor to ceiling windows and warm with two radiators. I found the room spacious, though it was described as small on the website. I’ve stayed in a lot of European hotel rooms a lot smaller. I think the room was recently done up as it was modern and clean. The bathroom was big with a modern double shower which was powerful and hot. I maybe would have like a bath as I’m a bath person but that’s being really nitpicky. The room was ready for us at 9:30am even though normal check in time is 3pm. Prosecco on arrival and free umbrellas to borrow from reception.

schön

Pros: die verschieden, mit viel Liebe zum Detail, eingerichteten Zimmer.
Location: Hotel befindet sich im Museums-Viertel. Museum, Park alles in unmittelbarer Nähe.
Von aussen sehr unscheinbar und auf den ersten Blick nicht als Hotel wahrnehmbar. Unser Zimmer befand sich im UG - hatten aber auch Fenster! Ein Zimmer war ein wenig klein, aber schlussendlich reichts ja zum Schlafen. Frühstück hatte alles was dein Herz begehrt. Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit.
