The room was clean with a nice view of the canal. Some of the linen was worn through but the room was clean and quite spacious (family king + single). The wireless charger next to the bed was a nice touch. There was a long wait for check in but the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Parking was available and cost about £6 overnight. There were nice meal options at the restaurant downstairs, and service was very good.

Overall, I had a good experience at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. There was a small technical issue during check-out, but it was handled quickly and professionally with no problems afterwards, which I appreciated. The facilities were clean and well maintained, and I had no complaints regarding cleanliness or general comfort of the hotel. There were a few areas that could be improved. Firstly, I stayed on the top floor and found the heating in the room wasn’t very effective. Even when turned up to the maximum, it didn’t warm the room enough to feel comfortable, and it seemed to be a standardised system with limited control. Secondly, the breakfast menu was quite limited for non-pork options. It would be great to see more variety such as chicken sausages, turkey rashers, vegan options, and possibly scrambled eggs to cater for different dietary preferences. Lastly, at the bar I ordered a pint of Madri, but it tasted quite watered down compared to what you would normally expect. Aside from these points, my stay was pleasant overall.
