Hotel is purposely for the travelling tradie. It’s in a congested area and traffic is heavy morning and evening. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Shower and toilet have the feel of a public toilet and smells of damp and yes there’s black mould too. Breakfast was cheap but not great with low quality food and only white bread available. Dinner was disappointing too, it’s hard to get fish and chips wrong but they served in a daft basket with fish on top of the chips so the chips were super greasy. Peas are served in a plant pot. My server was totally unsuited for the job.

Great location and close by to shops etc. Asked for late check but was only given 15 mins and I wanted slightly longer. Was put on the ground floor and was woken up by the banging doors which seemed like you had passerby’s on a London tube. Don’t sleep on the ground floor unless you want to be woken up at 6am! Besides that perfect.

Room is ok, nothing special. Downside for me, no additional pillow in the room - didn't request so not sure if this is available. The bed itself was fairly comfortable but creaky! Every move the hubby made the springs creaked leading to a restless sleep for us both. Second of the two nights spent here was a wedding which was extremely noisy. Woken twice in the night (1.30am and 3am) by inconsiderate guests in the corridors talking / laughing loudly. Could even hear them 2 floors up through double glazing whilst they were outside. In all, great location for the stadium and train station to Birmingham but it is a budget hotel so don't expect much.

We do have additional bedding on request, if we can welcome you back at another date please just contact the reception at any point if there is something you require. I can only apologise on behalf of the noisy guests that have kept you up, we do hope that our guests are respectful to other guests during their visit but this is not always the case. If you would like to contact the hotel further with the details of the room you were in we can certainly get that creaky bed looked at. Rooms were dusty! Could do with improving the housekeeping. The bed sheet was dirty and stained. We asked for a new one but when it was delivered the person from reception said he was too busy and we would have to dress the bed ourselves. In another room I had asked for an extra bed for children (8 years old, and 6 years old). the rather lumpy bed had been put in the room, but it wasn't dressed at all and none of the sheets were in the room. Again the bedding was delivered to the room but we had to dress the bed ourselves. Won't be staying here again!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel walls were very very thin, you could hear everything that other guests were doing, speaking, watching TV, and even when they used the bathroom, whether they were next door or on the floor above or below you. I would recommend asking for a room on the third floor if your planning to stay there.

Great hotels by the road

Clean and spacious, even space in the shower so much there was room for fun in the shower. Room 143 gave a great view of the highway.

Nice Hotel nowhere near a beach

Budget type hotel. Probably in between a Premier Inn and Travel Lodge. Decent value for money and close to major motorway network.

Phone didn't work. Noisy room.

The phone didn't work for the entire stay. They replaced the phone, but nobody thought to actually check it was working. I think it was a problem with the socket. Air con was noisy, but strangely if you turned it on it got even noisier. Room was also noisy due to motorway. Certainly worth asking for a quiet room if it bothers you. One positive was breakfast. They had poached eggs available to order.

Hotel was lovely

Loved my room as it was clean and comfy. The heating was an issue at the coldest part of the night because it operates using a fan that blows cold air after a while. Bathroom was a wet room whoch was good. Addiitional perks: Free parking & breakfast which is excellent.
