"We had cheapest room, and was an absolute bargain. was warned at reception that it was 'cosy'. the staff member, without me asking, looked to see if she was able to give us a free upgrade but we were there for a few days over busy period so there wasnt anything available. I was pleasantly surprised by the room - It was a great size for cosy!
Its a stunning hotel with some many beautiful old features. I spotted two very small patches that could do with a little attention in decor - will i think is impressive in such a huge old building. I'm so grateful that businesses choose to preserve these properties - it must come at a price!
Staff were all so lovely and welcoming. Food was great. Will definitely look at staying again when in the area. "
