Spotless, large room with stocked beer fridge and espresso machine. Staff are all amazing. The pool entertainment make the day fun. Dora walks around making sure we are all happy. Everything about our stay was 5 stars. This is a resort that clearly has dedicated time to their processes and unseen service that goes above and beyond. The property itself is grand, well kept, and perfectly atmospheric. The coatis scampering around and a lovely jungle setting truly feel like you're in another world. Each location, whether at the pool, on a path, or at the beach, has it's own carefully-curated vibe that delivers. The pool is lovely. They've done a great job of separating the sound and DJ to one side of the pool - we could choose a quieter day or a rowdier day without needing to completely change pools! There are so many different places to eat and drink. The restaurants are all STELLAR! We often had a wait, but we could put our names in and then get a drink at Don Miguel's - they'd radio the bar to let them know our table was ready. All of the food was excellent - when a guest at our hibachi table had a special dietary restriction, their attention to food safety was top notch. Carlos, Israel, Oscar, Nora, Pablo, Sadie, EVERYONE on the entertainment staff was so incredibly friendly and enthusiastic. They learn your name quickly and always get you involved. If I could make one recommendation, it would be to add more mats around the pool bars and restrooms, perhaps even the pool steps. Every single day we saw people slip and fall - often multiple times. The floors are extremely slick. We will absolutely return to Valentin.

The Valentin was amazing and we can’t recommend it highly enough. The property was beautiful and very well kept. The room, common areas, restaurants and spa were all very clean and well kept by a phenomenal staff who was very friendly, very helpful and all seemed 100% committed to making sure our stay was perfect. The restaurants were all delicious and provided a great variety throughout our trip. We also took advantage of the spa and enjoyed wonderful massages. All told I can’t say enough great things about the Valentin.

We only had one issue while staying at the hotel. Our stuff was picked up by security after putting it on chairs at the pool and walking to the beach for a few minutes. We did notice that other chairs that had items on them when we set our items down and walked to the beach were still sitting on the empty chairs and had not been picked up by security. We had to go to the lobby to retrieve our bag. It took about 20-25 mins to get our items back and staff could not explain why only some guests items were taken while others sat there unattended. One staff member stated it was a new policy, but could not explain exactly what the policy entailed. Other than this our stay was great.
