The rooms were clean and the hotel was beautiful. The problem was that I could hear every step the person above me took and it made a loud popping sound in my room with every step. I know that hearing sounds from neighbors is totally normal but the loud popping sound was enough to wake me up and the person above me was up most of the night walking back and forth.

Initially booked this because the rating was pretty high and decent. First off the elevator up is creepy, Checked in and the room smelled terrible, we were so uncomfortable to stay here that we checked out and booked the Pendry the same night. Don’t recommend

We loved our stay in this historic and quaint hotel. It would have been a long night if we hadn't gone to the Padre game, because there was a wedding and our balcony opened right up in to the reception area. We were happy it got quieter right at 10pm. The restaurant was awesome too and we appreciated the drink coupons and 20% off for dinner. Staff were impeccable

Beautiful hotel that maintains historic charm. We absolutely loved looking out on the courtyard! The homeless population in this area of San Diego is definitely a bummer, and I did not feel safe walking alone.
