Perfect except location

Location is not great. I was there for the marathon. There was 1 hour in public transport to ciudad de las artes y laa ciencias where the start and goal of the marathon were. 12 euros in taxi. To reach the city center you spend 15 or 20 minutes by metro which is not so far. Except location all has been awesome. Room was very comfortable and price was the best in town that days.

Great value hotel

The hotel is lovely - the rooms are spacious and well-appointed - but it is a little out of the centre of Valencia. However, we were aware of this and decided it was worth sacrificing the location slightly (and for us, it was a minor concern) to get great value and access to a lovely sun terrace and pool. Sadly, the weather for us was unseasonably wet so we didn't get to make use of the pool, but one sunny afternoon spent on the terrace was lovely. The pool is small - so not big enough for swimming in - but certainly big enough to take a quick dip to cool off when the weather is hot. The nearest Metro station is about 10 minutes walk away, and then it's less than 15 minutes on the Metro into the centre. There are a few restaurants on the main street between the hotel and the Metro so if you wanted to stay close to the hotel for some meals you could. Helpfully, there is also a supermarket next to the Metro where you can pick up supplies very cheaply (unsurprisingly, the hotel minibar is extremely expensive - although glasses of wine bought from the hotel bar aren't too bad). I would recommend the hotel for anyone looking for a great value deal with comfortable rooms and access to outdoor space in which to enjoy the weather.

Great value for money

This was my second stay at the Sorolla Palace. I came back because it's a very smart hotel, with nice rooms and provides great relaxation. The hotel is in a newish part of the City, and while it's a trip from the centre, the public transport links are good. While I was still impressed with the hotel, and its restaurant provided excellent meals, it seems that the deep recession that has hit Spain very hard has caught up with this hotel (although not as badly as the Hilton across the road, which has closed down completely). The bar stayed shut throughout my week there, and staff seemed short on number. Also, the pool area needs a number of running repairs. However, the rooms were still well cleaned and appointed. This is still a good base from which to enjoy the wonderful city of Valencia.

Sie bekommen eine E-Mail vor abreise, dass das Hotel ein Taxi zum Flughafen bestellt für 30€. Nimmt man das Taxis selbst, bezahlt man max. 10€. Mein Freund hat seinen Marschall im Wert von CHF 300.00 im Hotel liegen lassen. Wir haben dort sofort angerufen und gebeten uns den Kopfhören (natürlich gegen Versand und Entschädigung) zurück zu senden. Die Antwort "nein", wir können ja einen Versand beauftragen um die Kopfhörer abzuholen. Und das in Corona Zeiten. Naja mehr gibts da wohl nicht mehr dazu zu schreiben. Ps:Da fällt mir noch ein, wundert Euch nicht wenn Ihr Euer Kissen nach der Zimmerreinigung auf der Kofferablegestelle findet oder Euer Pijama im Lampenschirm! im Wert von CHF 300

Sehr schönes Hotel mit sehr freundlichen Angestellten. Holzböden in den Zimmern (viel hygienischer als Tepich). Grosses Badezimmer sogar im Standart-Zimmer. Ich hatte ein Zimmer im 14-ten Stock mit Ausssicht über die ganze Stadt bis hin zum Meer. Frühstücks-Buffet sehr Umfangreich, leider aber ist der Kaffee ungeniessbar. Lift hatte mal ein Problem, welches aber sofort behoben wurde.
