We arrived at the hotel and although we had proof that breakfast was included we were told that we did not have it included. Upon arriving home we then discovered without permission the hotel had taken an extra payment from us and double charged us for breakfast on the last day! Phoned up to question and staff where clueless on what to do, awaiting a call back...

Love the layout, it’s unuque and funky. Staff were friendly. Room was a tad small but nice, but unfortunately the room was quite dusty

Lovely place to stay. Staff were fantastic - always polite and happy to help . We stayed in the crisis free zone, the room was really cosy, very clean also. The only problem is the room was really small with not much storage space, however it did the job for the 2 nights we were there. With this room we had to use the communal bathroom which was always immaculate. The hotel was about a 40-45 minute walk from Centraal station or about 10 minutes on a tram (which you can catch from the top of the street) I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking to stay for a short amount of time as we did.

Hotel Not Hotel- exactly what it said on the tin!

Pros: It was so quirky and awesome! They give you a wee map with top tips on non tourist places with map!

Cons: Room did have a bit of a stale smell!

Location: We accidently walked first time, I do not recommend, tram is cheap, regular and right by hotel!

It was perfect, fit for purpose, bathrooms clean! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Was given tour by lovely guy from reception! Top tip,if you want to be in Kevin Bacon; Hotel Not Hotel is your Hotel, they can make this happen!

Beware single ladies

I would be wary of being a single women staying here. If you arrive at the bar you will be sent on a five minute route march by a dimly lit canal to go in the back entrance when there is a five second to get through glass door in the bar. When I questioned this I was given a rubbish excuse about a new door, that one is already there and secondly as a guest the door should be the first option. The rooms are tiny ,the staff otherwise very good, if you are drinking, the shared facilities are a gamble for you,the location is close by tram. We enjoyed it but was concerned by the overall safety.

Fablious trips and such cool, relaxing hotel

Amazing hotel and its surrounding, great to just sit and chill. Will definable be back again. Love the theme and how the hotel not hotel actually lives up to its name as you could be sitting in your lounge at home.

valentines trip

Was a weekend away for my husband and i, Hotel is very different to anything we ever stayed in before.we had fadeing colours room , literally no room for our cabin only baggage, if we had bigger cases we would have to have left them outside the door. Bed was very comfortable though. Did email for a room with bathroom about 2 weeks prior to staying but got no answer to this , so didn't get our request. Staff were nice and friendly. I guess you pay for what you get, it was good value. Location was good about 15 mins on tram to central Amsterdam.
