Overall a good experience but checked us in late when we were hopping for an early check in, pool is very small and busy, and there was a sewage smell in the bathroom for days during our stay. Otherwise, good location for shopping, transportation access, food etc.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with my various needs that arose during my stay. Additionally, the hotel was beautiful with a view of the square from my room and the amazing rooftop pool. Whenever I make my return to Barcelona, I will be staying here again.

We booked a family suite. We were on the 12th floor, but the elevator only went up to the 11th floor. We had to take the stairs to reach the last floor. Without any help, we carried all our luggage and the stroller up ourselves. The main bed was perfect; however, the sofa bed and the Murphy beds were full of dust. At this price, you can find better.

What i did not like was the check in i request to check in early because my flight arrived at 8 Saturday morning i was tild i would receive a email they never responded i also asked if they've pick from the airport still no response. The riom was very nice but the air wasn't cool overall nice place to stay.

Persistent issues with keys

Lots of issues with room keys and elevator keys. Had to be escorted to my room by security with a master key for a day as keys not working - very inconvenient. Once that issue was sorted, key still did not operate lifts, so lots of guests had to keep getting someone from reception to walk them over to the lifts and operate them. Also, had thought there was a business centre here, but when I asked at reception they said no.

New and well located hotel

The hotel is very well located with a train station right outside the door. It faces Plaza Espanya. You can admire the architecture of the buildings. Across the street is The Arena, a former bull fighting arena converted to a shopping centre with restaurants on the top floor. The best thing for me was the complimentary parking for being a Gold member of Hotels.com

Great hotel , well located with excellent facilities. Room was well appointed with a good outlook over Plaza de Espanya. It was well located with easy access to the metro station. Staff were friendly and provide great service.
