The room and hotel complex was very well executed. Although only 7 years old you feel like you are transported back in time a hundred years or so. The room was very comfortable and has all the amenities you expect from a modern hotel but careful concealed with a real heritage feel. Only complaints were the room wasn't made up a couple of nights during our stay and also as you're in the middle of the Souk it is noisy at night until the early hours. You have access to the sister Hilton hotel Canopy with a rooftop pool and bar which were both lovely and a free buggy ride away through the Souk. A great location on the creek edge with easy access to the hustle and bustle of modern Dubai via metro or taxi.

Stay was good, location was a good change for us vs the city, and arrival at 2am was not a problem/very good night staff on duty. Buggy drivers all know the customers/offer rides as required - excellent service. A few wee negatives, breakfast fruit was limited - 3 types, a mixed fruit salad would have been good addition. Omelets were perfectly cooked on demand. Room was very clean, though the staff arrived near 5pm each day to refresh / good bed makers! Noise from the nearby restaurant finished each night by 1000pm. Try the "standby/walkup" rates on the dinner river boats - good price between the boats at night. Would stay again.

Upon arrival we were welcomed. Every staff member we were in contact with treated us with professionalism and kindness. They all made us feel like a person would treat us like a family member. Even if it is their job they all went out of there way to make us feel comfortable. There were many restaurants to choose from and a market for any personal needs that we may have forgotten. The location of this property was a perfect for venturing out anywhere we wanted to explore. I would recommend this property to anyone coming to Dubai for a long stay or passing through.

The hotel set up is a little peculiar, with reception and guest rooms spread over different buildings within Dubai Old Village. But that just adds to the charm. The booked a Creek view room and loved it. The Creek view was a treat and the room offers a retro experience. I would certainly stay here again.
