Nice hotel

Due to construction works it seems like the Jumeirah Public Beach, the proximity of which made me choose the hotel, is currently closed. I had to take a taxi to the Dubai Marina / JBR (round trip abt 130 AED) to go to the beach. But at least it was great. The weather and the water were perfect. There was also a glitch with the breakfast, which the hotel thought was not included, but I contacted eBookers/Expedia and they graciously and promptly offered to refund me for the breakfast if I paid it at the reception. Otherwise the hotel is ok. Maybe it would be useful to put a sticker with indications on how to open the minibar door, as it was full of scratches and marks from barbarians who tried to force it open with whatever tools they had :) The staff is extremely friendly and the breakfast is rich and tasty. Overall good value. Caveat: alcohol not served on the premises, as it appears that the owner of the franchise has strict principles. But anyway, even in places where alcohol is available, it is so expensive that it's an opportunity to give your liver a break while in Dubai.

Waren nur für eine Nacht, was gereicht hat. Dunkles Zimmer mit Blick in den Frühstücksraum, kein Licht im zimmer. Hotelgäste ohne Anstand, Frühstücksbuffet ein Graus für Dubai, zu wenig Plätze und zu wenig Angestellte beim Frühstücksbuffet, sie kommen gar nicht nach mit Abräumen... Checkin erst am Nachmittag, Lage naja... Angestellte ohne lächeln, nie wieder.

A-OK hotel

This hotel was okey. Our room was big and clean enough. For some reasons the hotel saved on towels. Instead of two hand towels, we got one. We asked about this and got two but after cleaning we once again had just one. The breakfast was good but kind of a basic one. The gym was small but good enough for basic training. However, the opening hours were challenging: 10 am to 8 pm. We spent our days away from the hotel so we didn't have time to go to the gym. The location of this hotel is ok if you don't mind using taxis. It was pretty easy to get them from the streets. The nearest metro station is about 3 kilometers away. The busses drive in front of the hotel.
