Missing basics

While we were there, we were unable to take a shower. Our shower reduced to a trickle when we used hot water. We did tell the hotel on our first morning but it wasn't fixed. Additionally, on our first morning, our toilet wouldn't flush. We had to go out for the day to use the toilet but it was fixed by the time we returned 7 hours later. The chromecast TV wasn't hooked up. When we called to tell them that it wasn't working, they told us they were aware and that a technician had been scheduled. When we checked out and again reported being unable to shower, showing them a video of the shower, they asked us if we had additional time. We did have 10 minutes and were offered another room to take a shower but unfortunately, 10 minutes wasn't enough for us to unpack and shower. Without a shower or working toilet, or streaming TV, we did note in writing to them that we felt we should get some reimbursement. We have not had a response from them.

Great location and staff, quiet and clean!

Nice historic hotel right in the heart of Dublin City Centre, reasonably priced, and walking distance to a lot. The staff was great (thanks, Shane!), and the room was spacious. It's an older hotel, so if you prefer more modern facilities this might not be for you but that doesn't matter to me so long as it's clean, comfortable, and the staff is friendly and helpful. he Arlington checked all of those boxes for me! I'd recommend it and would stay there again if visiting the Dublin area in the future.

All-Ireland Weekend

Location is fantastic, right in the heart of Dublin city. Staff was excellent, very helpful. Bar/restaurant on the first floor is huge, food was good, live music most nights. Only possible drawback was no air conditioning & the nights we stayed in July were quite warm. Leaving our window open was not an option because there was is alley behind the hotel where our room was located, lots of noise throughout the night from trucks, deliveries, etc. other than that, excellent hotel and location. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location except if you are driving. There is no parking on street and no lot. The lots they work with are walkable but if u need to get your car before 8:00 AM they maybe closed. Thank goodness for the amazing hotel employee who let me park in the employee lot below. He was accommodating and understood my early flight situation.

This hotel falsely advertises rooms. AVOID

Absolutely terrible, family room accommodations were falsely advertised, with insufficient beds and non functioning windows. When I showed booking confirmation to front desk associate, he consistently rudely interrupted, and argued with me, condescendingly lecturing me on how it was not his responsibility to fix the mistake and that i needed to have hotels.com resolve the issue. Had to sleep on the hotel room floor as we were provided fewer beds than the booking promised. AVOID THIS HOTEL

Great location but lack of hot water in the mornin

Location of the Arlington can’t be beat as we were in the heart of city and close to everything we wanted. The hotel pub and restaurant were convenient options but there are several choices a short distance away. The beds were comfortable but we didn’t have hot water for morning showers so be prepared and/or take a shower in the late afternoon. Lastly, depending on the rooms you’re assigned you may be walking up a couple flights of steps as the elevator doesn’t take you to one of the wings of the hotel.

Right in the middle of it all, with all the positives and negatives one would expect from that. Not for those seeking a quiet location, but we knew that going in and were perfectly pleased with everything. Staff was immensely kind and helpful with questions and recommendations. And the location could not be more convenient to just about everything.

The property is somewhat run down. The bar, restaurant, and lobby are have historical features which are nostalgic. The hotel rooms are old. Toilet didn't always want to flush, there was mold around the sink, shower and toilets. The shower curtain was dirty. No pillowcase on one of the pillows. Small tv. Alley next door was loud with people yelling and fighting at all hours. Bed was clean. No air conditioning. Smelled musty. Staff could have cared less if we were there. No smiles from front desk, waiter at bar or our waitress. The bar had a great entertainer one evening. Location is convenient.

Great location but very dated and not worth the hefty price. The staff are lovely and helpful but the price is absolutely not worth it. The room was dated, stale and the bathroom was damp and smelled of mold. No air circulation and the tiny fan provided did very little. There are better places to stay in Dublin.
