Jerry and his daughter, Olga, are the consummate hosts! Personable and knowledgeable, they were the BEST! The property is extremely well maintained and so clean. The location is a short walk to the city center. We loved staying at Dergvale, and would stay there again!

The hotel is charming and old-fashioned and very centrally located — only a 20 minute walk or so from Temple Bar and quite close to a number of restaurants, convenience stores, and groceries. They have 24-hour front-desk service and restricted access to the lobby, which makes the property feel wonderfully safe, and the staff were so kind and accommodating in every possible way. It's a family-owned business and you can really tell that they all care very much about the guests and their comfort. My room was very reasonably sized for one person and probably could even have fit two, and it was well-maintained and clean throughout. Overall I was extremely pleased with my stay and would recommend it particularly for solo travelers or pairs!

Location is perfect, staff is incredible and extremely friendly, price was very fair for what you get and the location. Only complaint I have was the bed was quite uncomfortable and not having an elevator is a bit inconvenient when you end up staying on the higher floors (only like 5 flights of stairs, so this is just kinda me being lazy). Still a lovely place that I would definitely stay at again.

It's owned by an old man and his family, and they are very sweet and friendly. I had a big luggage with me, and he helped me carry it all the way to the 3rd floor. On the way out, his wife helped me bring it down. Even when I came back late, there was always someone available to open the door. It's near the china town of dublin, and I loved that so much cause I was having my dinners there every night. It's also just a 20 min walk from the center. Would stay there again if i am in Dublin.

This hotel is an absolute gem. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, and a beautifully decorated room. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and went above and beyond to ensure I had a good, safe stay. As it is an old building there is no lift, but I had no trouble getting several bags up to the top floor. It is an easy walking distance from the city centre, trinity college, and temple bar. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This is a family owned business. Jerry and Olga were very helpful. Whenever I had a question they were always eager to provide directions or advice. For example, Jerry ordered a cab the night before I needed it to the train station before my next destination. He knew that it was going to be very difficult to get a cab and a specific time so he ordered it the night before.
