Atmospheric spot in a great location

The room was bigger than I expected, and I was impressed with the size of the overall hotel itself, given that it's tucked away next to and above a pub. A nice room and spacious bathroom. No frills, but very comfortable and clean. Definitely bring your earplugs as the pub noise goes well into the night, as you might expect. Adds to the ambiance! Nice place.

Very centrally located. Windows which you can actually open. Spacious room. Very good mattress and I slept well. Clean and modern bathroom. There was a hairdryer and kettle. Furniture and the carpet are about old, but my stay was short so I did not mind. There was a small fridge, but I switched it off in the night as it made noise. In total, I had very pleasant stay.

It was in the middle of all the activity. We had a room on the third floor so it was quiet. However, without elevators, it gave us lots of exercise. We had some anxiety about whether there would be someone to take our bags down early in the morning - we had a train to make. But our host came to the rescue and all was well.

Perfekt ställe för övernattning i Dublin, den var central och livsmedelsbutik mitt emot där frukosten kunde införskaffas, bor gärna där nästa gång jag besöker Dublin. Rummet var stort för 2 personer. Man bör vara medveten om att det ligger en välbesökt pub under boendet, vi stördes inte så mycket av ljudet.

Great location and vibe

This place is great. Now, you have to understand that you're above a pub and this is not a five star establishment. Dublin is not cheap but this is a great value given it's location. Yes, it got loud at night vbut it wasn't crazy. The room was spacious and clean. Everything is dated and the stairs are a challenge but I will stay here again.

O'Donoghue's a great central location

O'Donoghue's is more or less in the middle of town, so very convienient for the city centre. I stayed at O'Ds this week and about 4 weeks ago, so I should have learnt from my first visit. But the rooms at O'Ds are quite dull and dingey. A coat of white paint, some brighter lights and a neutral carpet would make such a difference. Bed and pillows were comfy. TV had a handful of local stations. Wifi was good. The room was very warm, I couldn't adjust the radiator, so I opened the window. O'Ds is in the middle of town so there is a lot of foot traffic and vehicle traffic both late into the night and early in the morning! All the rooms are up narrow and quite steep stairs, and the landings and stairwells are also dull and dingey. There is a little cupboard on the landing that has a washing machine in it and that machine is on lot at all hours. I was on the top floor and heard it, my last visit I was on the first floor and heard it. The bathrooms are adequate, but the shower cubicles are very small. I am Mr Average, size wise, and I couldn't bend down to pick up the shampoo bottle. The bathrooms are not vented so the ceilings are covered in flakey paint. There was a hairdryer and kettle in both rooms. O'Ds is famous for its pub with live music, and it is a great venue, with a good range of beer. They don't do food, so breakfast needs to taken at one of a number of local cafes. A good selection of evening meals are available very locally.

Loved the ambiance of the pub, great pub, and we arrive during on a day they had live music which was amazing. Rooms were comfy, clean and appealing. Staff was great, helpful and amazing sense of humour. There is a long staircase up to the guest rooms, but they gave a helping hand. Great location to many popular places downtown, temple bar, Stephens green, whiskey museum, etc

Très agréable

Personnel accueillant, très sympathique ! Hôtel idéalement situé, proximité du centre-ville, nous avons pu visiter la plupart des sites touristiques, et bien d'autres, à pieds. La taille de la chambre est amplement suffisante, léger bruit le soir, mais c'est un pub avant tout ! Nécessaire pour café et thé, très pratique. Un seul bémol, l'entretien de la chambre... Un ménage un peu plus poussé et un petit peu de rénovation, notamment dans la salle seraient les bienvenues. Malgré cela, je recommande et je n'hésiterai pas à y retourner si je reviens à Dublin ! Cet hôtel est parfait pour une immersion 😊

Comfortable Room with Great Location

Room was clean and comfortable. Private bathroom and necessary ameneties included. Great location, walking distance to Grafton Street, Trinity College, and plenty of restaurants. Staff was very friendly, live music played every night at the bar and a great place to get a Guinness before bed!

Adequate hotel with a good location

It was an OK hotel. The building is old, but the room is relatively clean. The shower is quite small, I'm OK with it except that it doesn't have a place to put the shower gel and stuff. I stayed on the top floor, noise from the bar wasn't actually a big problem. The staff are really nice and friendly.

Très bien situé, à 2 pas de St Stephen's green. Chambre très confortable et agreable, calme malgré le fait que ce soit au dessus d'un bar. Le personnel a été génial et très serviable et n'a pas hésité à nous aider avec nos (très lourdes) valises dans l'escalier. Je recommande fortement cet hôtel et n'hésiterais pas à y retourner !

En general es aceptable, lo peor que el agua caliente se agoto una de las dos mañana que estuvimos. Por otro lado las cortinas deberian ser mas opacas ya que entraba mucha luz para mi gusto por la mañana, pero en general volveria.
